Salt Trolls are one of the least viscous of trollkin, and would be one of the most pleasant if not for their offensive salty smell. They are not very large, and have a proclivity to converse with those they meet—though rarely does one meet a Salt Troll. Their lairs are often underground where the air is still, preferably humid, and of course, salty. Often an adventurer has mistaken a Salt Troll's magnificent salt pile as a hoard of diamonds or sapphires, and escaped instead with oversized salt crystals with which an entire lake could be completely salinized.
Salt Trolls do get hungry, and it is best advised to go in third or fourth into its lair, as Salt Trolls consider two humans a meal, in which the first is only an appetizer.
