'''May 20, 2008''' Around 8 survivors in the police department. It only has secured doors and still no radio or power in the building. Please if anyone has a generator set it up in the Police Department it is very needed. Well The zeds have broken through around 2 dead bodies in there but Dr. Klump disposed of them easily. I have shut the doors but that is all the protection we have from a zed attack...We need proper cades to keep out the zeds I have around 7 First-aid Kits but that isnt gonna hold well against what could be out their to attack the department. --[[User:Barney Hellfax|Barney Hellfax]] 03:16, 21 May 2008 (BST)

When a gang war broke out in 1984, the police from this station turned from inefficient to violent.

History

It is not known which member of the Cockayne Family this Station was named after. Most of it's family having something, in one way or the other, to do with health/medicine or hygiene.

Some think the station was named after Emily Cockayne as a tribute for her never-ending tale of woe about the wretched filth that was 17th century England. Maybe it was an inside joke among Malton's City Fathers (unfortunately, it was a premonition of sorts...)

Still others believe that is was named in honor of Sir Edward Alfred Cockayne, when he treated a policeman's child and diagnosed a new disease as a result.

Regardless, all this was forgotten by the early 80s when drugs were rampant and the Wyke Hills Vice Squad was HQ'd here. "Cockayne" came to be pronounced as "cocaine," especially when several officers were charged with conspiracy, intent and distribution in the affair. Users were left with nothing of quite the same quality again, giving new meaning to the term, "The thin Blue Line..."
