Thanks for taking the time to respond. Apologies if my edits were bad form - I'm new to editing this wiki (or at least, I'm learning again after a long break.) I'm happy to make edits within the style guide where possible.

Would it be fair to say that quite a lot of the content on the page is not currently NPOV, including but not limited to:
"the largest, most formidable, and arguably the most influential group in the games history, The Ridleybank Resistance Front. "
"As a building within the suburb of Ridleybank, Moggridge Place Police Department falls under the RRF Building Code, which stipulates that barricades of any level are prohibited. "
"Moggridge Place is also home to the Ridleybank Hall of Legends"

A lot of the content seems to be more suitable for an RRF group page, not a location page. It's current state simply doesn't reflect the fact that this building, and the suburb of Ridleybank in general, is used by multiple characters with many different group affiliations, all of whom (I assume) have a right to roleplay on the wiki. As it stands the page mostly read as series of RRF in jokes about characters than haven't been active for 10-15 years. Can this be right?

:Ridleybank and the buildings there are a bit of a special case, since the state of the suburb has been massively shaped by the RRF for many, many years without being seriously contested by any player, and it is still a strong force in the current diminished state of the game. A similar example would be Whittenside, which has been greatly shaped by the back-and-forth between FPDF and Feral Undead, and still is.

:In practical terms, you are best off not removing existing text, and keeping added news NPOV.

:In less practical terms, you could take this to arbitration, but you'd be extremely unlikely to get the RRF text struck from a building that has been very consistently held by one of the most significant groups in the game. --<span style="font-family:monospace; background-color:#222222"><span style="color:Lime"> Spiderzed</span><span style="color:Lime">▋</span></span> 19:24, 21 July 2021 (UTC)

I saw this and thought I'd try my hand at a quick edit to see what you all think. I think there's an important written history here pertaining to MPPD and it's place as the founding block for the RRF and the Hall of Legends contained there. I merged some of the "interesting facts" into the article itself and removed some of the flavour text in it. Keen to hear what you think. Don't mind if you dislike. 03:53, 22 July 2021 (UTC)

:Thanks to you both for this. For what it’s worth, I like the most recent edits.

:I can see that my vision for the page —less RRF-specific content, less RP content about 10+ year inactive players, and updates reflecting the recent history of the location (i.e. the last 18 months, where it hasn’t been dominated by zombie characters) — are not going to be viable if the view is that this location is a special case, and that removing existing text is bad form.

:I suppose my point is that in my experience playing the game, the location has not been held  ‘very consistently’ by the RRF in recent years. I understand that the RRF will probably argue otherwise, and that’s all part of the fun, but I had hoped that the page could be more neutral on the matter. However, I understand it’s difficult for you to know either way as the game doesn’t provide data on building occupation.

:I won’t take this to arbitration as I’m sure we all have better things to do with our time (!), but thanks for raising the option. Your house, your rules – I’ll leave the page as it is. Eric Wolton (talk) 08:07, 22 July 2021 (UTC)

Wow, weird. And no. Seems to be some spammer. Why they picked an obscure sandbox page like that, I have no idea. Thanks for letting me know! --TWO HEADED SEX BEAST 19:31, 20 January 2013 (UTC)

Thanks

I have not done that much. Anyways, I do not get combat revived enough to justify buying free running. I am currently trying to help the zombies. My other character does very little damage to them as he is a trenchcoater. Lpha 22:00, 8 May 2013 (BST)

IRC

Will do. The group isn't actually completely survivor based and I just wanted to chat. When I entered the channel though, I didn't realize that you guys actually had strike times and everything set up on the IRC channel, so that was a surprise that you guys had that information out in the open. As far as etiquette goes, I'd say that I was only trying to be friendly. I tried signing up for the RRF forum but the account was never confirmed so I gave up on that. Then stumbled on the IRC Channel on a 'mishap'. So excuse me for not realizing the RRFs strike times could be found, out in the open on a mobbit log. -.- 08:39, 15 May 2013 (BST)

I understand. Just want to clarify what happened on my end. -.- 18:22, 15 May 2013 (BST)

So...

Any particular reason why you love me so much? It's flattering, but communication is important in any relationship :) --Benigno SSZ RCC 17:51, 20 June 2014 (UTC)

Moggridge Place Police Department

Hello. I see that you have twice reverted my edits to the Moggridge Place Police Department page. I am just trying to keep the page relevant and up to date. Can you please explain why you are reverting my edits?

Eric Wolton (talk) 12:23, 20 July 2021 (UTC)

You have removed pre-existing content from a location page, which is bad form.
As mainspace pages, location pages are required to be NPOV. Your additions have been rather self-promotional, rather than neutral reports on current events. -- Spiderzed 17:11, 21 July 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for taking the time to respond. Apologies if my edits were bad form - I'm new to editing this wiki (or at least, I'm learning again after a long break.) I'm happy to make edits within the style guide where possible.

Would it be fair to say that quite a lot of the content on the page is not currently NPOV, including but not limited to: "the largest, most formidable, and arguably the most influential group in the games history, The Ridleybank Resistance Front. " "As a building within the suburb of Ridleybank, Moggridge Place Police Department falls under the RRF Building Code, which stipulates that barricades of any level are prohibited. " "Moggridge Place is also home to the Ridleybank Hall of Legends"

Eric Wolton (talk) 19:09, 21 July 2021 (UTC)

Ridleybank and the buildings there are a bit of a special case, since the state of the suburb has been massively shaped by the RRF for many, many years without being seriously contested by any player, and it is still a strong force in the current diminished state of the game. A similar example would be Whittenside, which has been greatly shaped by the back-and-forth between FPDF and Feral Undead, and still is.
In practical terms, you are best off not removing existing text, and keeping added news NPOV.
In less practical terms, you could take this to arbitration, but you'd be extremely unlikely to get the RRF text struck from a building that has been very consistently held by one of the most significant groups in the game. -- Spiderzed 19:24, 21 July 2021 (UTC)

Thanks to you both for this. For what it’s worth, I like the most recent edits.
I can see that my vision for the page —less RRF-specific content, less RP content about 10+ year inactive players, and updates reflecting the recent history of the location (i.e. the last 18 months, where it hasn’t been dominated by zombie characters) — are not going to be viable if the view is that this location is a special case, and that removing existing text is bad form.

I won’t take this to arbitration as I’m sure we all have better things to do with our time (!), but thanks for raising the option. Your house, your rules – I’ll leave the page as it is. Eric Wolton (talk) 08:07, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
The consensus on whether their claim that it's 'very consistently' held is a fair point in the search for a more objective view of this building's general state in the game. That's fair.
