Description

History

Shelley Grove School was once revered as an illustrious bastion of education in the southeast district of Malton. A private school founded in 1907, it was one of the earliest private schools in the city, and catered to only the wealthiest families for the majority of its history. Within the last few decades, however, widespread private schooling had become commonplace in Malton, due in part to the wealth being brought in by Necrotech, with the result being that Shelley Grove was just one of many private schools in the city.

Though the quality of the education offered to its students has always remained high, significant drops in enrollment forced the administration to decrease tuition rates. By the time of the outbreak, Shelley Grove had positioned itself as one of the best, yet affordable, private schools in the city, and had managed to carve out a significant niche in the upper-middle and upper class population of Malton. Due in large part to its strong reputation, families would oftentimes commute from all over the city in order to bring their children to Shelley Grove. As an unfortunate side effect, when the outbreak occurred, many of the parents were unable to reach their children in a timely manner, resulting in the majority of the students, as well as the faculty and staff watching over them, being turned into zombies.
