Karth Salvage - Man or myth?

Introduction

All around malton people have for a long time now heard the name "Karth Salvage" (further on occasionally abbreviated as "KS") whispered and spoken on the streets and in the safehouses. In recent times some have even begun to use the name in their daily speak; examples are expressions like: "That guy is totally Karth-Nuts.", "No way, you're Karthing me!?" and also in it's simplest form just the exclamation of "Oh, Karth!" can be heard passing from peoples lips in times of distress.

So who is this Karth Salvage?

There are two "camps" tackling this question. Some say that KS is a myth and has never existed at all. Others say that he does or did in fact very much exist and some even claim to have seen him or even spoken to him.

This page is dedicated to finding out the truth of the matter.

KS mythos

There are many stories surrounding Karth Salvage but they generally have a few things in common:

• KS is in his fifties and sports white buzzcut hair (see artist's rendering above).

• KS has worked at one time as a police officer.

• Some stories tend to point him out as a murderer.

KS in official records

When searching in the different official and unofficial records around the city, sometimes the name Karth Salvage will mysteriously show up.

• The first ever known mention of "Karth Salvage" was found in a MPD police academy rooster dated: 2007-04-23.

• No birth certificate or other (bar the above) certifications of education or employment have been found under that name.

• There is a cinema in Spracklingbank called the Salvage Cinema, though any connections has yet to be found.

• A group of fanatic murderers calling themselves "The flowers of Disease" claim that they once had a member bearing this name. Proof of this has yet to be produced.

• A page on this wiki is dedicated to a user calling himself Karth Salvage. Is this KS himself or just a homage? It's seems like the original user has abandoned this page so there is no way of finding out.

The two Sides

The riddle of Karth Salvage has enthralled many. And many are investigating whether such a person has actually existed. In general you can divide these persons in two groups:

The believers

This group of people consists of the people whose general consensus is that Karth Salvage is indeed a real living and/or historical character. Many even claim to have met him in person or have seen him around malton. They strive to produce evidence of his existence to prove to the general public that KS is real.

The Non-Believers

These are the persons who believe that KS is nothing more than a story told to kids before bedtime. There are quite a few factions within this group ranging from those who can agree that there has existed a person or persons under this name, but who are not in any way connected to the KS mythos, to those who plainly deny the very existence of one "Karth Salvage" arguing that this character is just the societies projection of fear sprung from the zombie outbrake.
