The Recruitment page is the official wiki resource for groups to advertise themselves to anyone searching for a group to join. The page has a set of rules for how it is managed, but no rules for how to change the rules if they became outdated. This policy intends to set the rules for voting procedures which will allow the user to make and vote on changes. Current rules can be found here.

Motion for change

  • A motion for change is defined as an attempt to alter/remove current rules or implement new rules.
  • The motion for change may attempt to alter/remove any of the current rules.
  • A motion can not alter/remove or implement several rules at once.

How to start a motion

  • Any users may start a motion for change.
  • A motion for change must be placed under a new header on the voting sub-page of the Recruitment page.
  • The motion must signed with an attached timestamp.
  • The motion must be mentioned on and linked to from Recruitment/Alerts.

Voting procedure

  • The motion for change will be placed under a new header and will be open for discussion under a sub-header for 2 days.
  • Voting will be opened under another sub-header after X days have passed (not if it is withdrawn) and will last for 2 weeks.
  • Possible votes are For and Against.
  • A minimum of 15 votes are required to make it valid.
  • After voting time is up the votes will be tallied, 66% in favor is required for a motion to pass.
  • If a motion fails it may not be attempted again for 1 week.
  • If the motion passes, the user that declared the the vote closed and tallied it may implement the changes.
