History

The church were built in honor of, and named after, St. Elisabeth of Hungary, a hungarian saint. Elisabeth were the child of king Andrew II and the wife of Ludwig IV of Thuringia, who died on his way to joining the Sixth Crusade. Her patronages include dying children, exiles, homeless people, hospitals and widows.

It was briefly besieged by a small but relentless horde identified by their number wearing various concert pins and memorabilia from a band as "the Well Hungarians" during the summer of 2009.
