:Oh and I also think Lasbury Auto should be EHB since it is adjacent to Shortman Bldg, which is the one building that separates East and West Lukinswood. Wasson Auto is close enough to be used as a VSB resource building. I'm leaving it alone for now but I think it should be considered.--[[User:Vapor|Vapor]] 05:55, 13 December 2009 (UTC) |

Discussion
The MFD is currently scouting this suburb and preparing a barricade plan for Lukinswood. Any suggestions or information on currently maintained buildings would be most welcome! --Gilant 15:51, 7 Dec 2005 (GMT)
The following barricade plans are submitted for discussion. The objectives are copied from the Barricade Plan of East Becktown, a refined version of the Uniform Barricade Plan. In essence, all buildings will be barricaded to Extremely Heavily (EH) with exceptions barricaded to Very Strongly (VS). The exceptions are public service buildings (Hospitals, NecroTech, Police and Fire Stations, and Schools). This allows entry points to the EH buildings to those with Free Running skill and safe harbor for other survivors.
The first map is a direct copy-by-objective and requires support from The Qubs in order to barricade their pubs. The second leaves the pubs open but barricades Auto Repair. Lukinswood is not a great Free Running layout, but both plans make the best of the map.
My personal preference is to leave Pubs at VS and Auto Shops at EH. This provides a better spread of VS entry points.

Great start Shish, thanks! Can't junkyards be barricaded? You have them as empty land in the map. Also, you missed one NT location, the Shortman Building [26, 45]. You can't tell since they started turning all phone mast buildings white with black text. I like the pubs version better as well, but would make the following suggestions.
These buildings designated as EH: the George Arms [24, 41] the Checketts Arms [25, 41] the Galavin Museum [25, 46] St Perpetua's Church [22, 45] and maybe St Theophan's Church [22, 48]
These buildings VS: Gower Auto Repair [20, 45] Latham Cinema [29, 46]
This makes 16 VS entrances if I adjust counts correctly and I don't think it isolates any buildings. That's a fairly high count given the amount of open space in this burb - definitely a tough area. --Gilant 20:04, 13 Dec 2005 (GMT)
Thanks for the corrections. I like your suggestions and have updated the plan accordingly.

Great! Hopefully we'll here from the Qubs soon, but so far I think that looks pretty good. Thanks Captain!!
(OK I emailed the Qubs contact) Oh, and I suggest denoting Whittle Place [26, 46] as the suburb revive. Any other ideas? --Gilant 22:25, 13 Dec 2005 (GMT)
Greetings from the Qubs regional management. Good call to uniformly barricade the suburb, but I would have to vote against extremely heavilly barricading the pubs, seeing as it kind of goes against the idea to block them to everyone apart from people with free running. Having a couple extremely heavy barricaded could work though, they'd be the ultimate pub lockins! :-) Basically I support the second idea of EH the auto-repairs and leaving the pubs at VS. -BauulBen 11:43, 14 Dec 2005 (GMT)
Great! OK, how about we mark the George Arms as VS+2 and leave the Checketts Arms EH. That makes your HQ the only EH pub and provides one EH resting place right in the middle of the FS and two other pubs. Shish if you could make a final version noting that and with the revive point indicated please? Actually you could indicate MFD HQ and Qubs HQ and such on the map. Just add colored dots or something, we can legend those in text below the map. Thanks! --Gilant 14:27, 14 Dec 2005 (GMT)
Alright, the plan is updated although I think I'll tweak the key a bit later on. I've already started bumping up barricades near Dales FS.
--Shish KerBob 07:23, 15 Dec 2005 (GMT)
I think the plan is well set indeed, thanks Shish! Perhaps the key can border the bottom rather than extend down the side? Also the Q is over the wrong pub if I'm not mistaken. Shish, will you update the wiki and add the barricade plan? --Gilant 14:57, 16 Dec 2005 (GMT)
Channing Square is the revive point (and has been used as such for at least the past week). Sorry for any confusion. Didn't know about this page until today. We have a large and fairly organized group of survivors keeping the point running, and we've been preparing for the victims of Ackland Mall to come streaming in. Someone should update the page to reflect the correct revive point. Of course, any help you guys can offer us (thinning the growing population of zombies in our neighborhood, manning the revive point, healing the recently revived, etc.) would be most appreciated!--Perticus 19:33, 12 Jan 2006 (GMT)
Relocated revive point. New revive point set at Woodthorpe. --Perticus 17:08, 24 Jan 2006 (GMT)
Any suggestions? Please post them in this section
The goal of this plan is to keep Barricades which allow maximum accessiblilty to resources for low-level survivors. Plans and reality often differ greatly. Please follow the Uniform Barricading Policy guidelines, any modifcations to this should allow access within a secure district.
It doesn't make sense that Club Hill [29, 48] should be an entry point... it's a dark building; it should be a EHB safehouse. Especially when there's another adjacent entry point. --Silisquish 23:46, 14 October 2008 (BST)
St Perpetua's Church should be VSB. It's our group's main entry-point. Right next to the cemetery where we give and get revives. -- ▧ : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : 15:40, 21 November 2009 (UTC)
- I have made some changes to the Lukinswood Barricade Plan based on the dialouge above, suggestions from the UBP review and also the needs of local survivors. Here are comments on my changes:
- Changed western RP location to cemetery 22,46. Lacey Walk is no longer an active revive point.
- Changed St. Perpetua's Church and Ackerman Towers to entry points due to being adjacent to this revive point.
- Changed Dickinson Square and Pearcey Street schools to EHB due to their proximity to the Coram Building and the EBS.
- Changed Lukins Auto Repair to EHB. Hermore Auto Repair 1 block east is an entry point already.
- Changed the Shea Arms and Garton Library to entry points to allow safe access when entering the suburb from the north.
This seems to offer the correct disbursement of VSB vs EHB buildings (about 2/3 EHB). It stays mostly true to the old Lukinswood Optimal Defense Plan while also adopting some suggestions from the new Lukinswood Barricade Plan (UBP). Suggestions and comments welcome. --Vapor 00:11, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
