[Newgrounds]The [Newgrounds] group is a group of users from Newgrounds.com that have a common interest in Urban Dead. Zombie or survivor, any kind of two-legged creature is welcomed into our club, though remember that you have to have an account on NG to be able to get notified as a group member. So sign up for a free account today! To join, simply request it at our discussion thread this thread in the Newgrounds BBS. No other requirements are necessary. So, what do you do if you're a Newgrounder? Basically, it's pretty much the same as being a lonesome survivor (or zombie, we take on all kinds of players, remember?), except that if you want backup, and if there's any member nearby, it's very likely that we will join the battle on your side. If you need revification, healing or whatever, we will aid you. We don't usually embark on quests, so if you're that kind of player, you'd have to be the one who lead the volunteers. All in all, being a Newgrounder makes you just plain awesome.

Revification PointThe revification point controlled by [Newgrounds] is located at Dunsdon Lane [81,13]. You may experience a short delay in awaiting a revive, even if there are no other zombies in the queue. A primary reason for the lack of revives is the total absence of any NecroTech buildings in Rolt Heights. Leave a message on the wiki or ideally the NGBBS thread if you are in need of a revive, and someone will get back to you within a day or so. Allies

HistoryOn the 12th of December, 2005, the [Newgrounds] group was created by Matt Guthrie. It began kind of slowly with a member here and another there, and lots of the new members only played the game for one day and then quit. It's still hard to find new members, but at least [Newgrounds] appears on the stats page. After a month or two, the relationship between us and RCDC was everything else than jolly good happy. In fact, we were the only group on their list that wasn't granted access in their suburb. This is no longer the case, and keep a peaceful side to each other. Things went on pretty well after that, but in late April - early May 2006, the suburb became infested than ever in NG history. The Rolt Heights Rotters began taking control on the northwest area, but with the aid of old rivals, RCDC, [Newgrounds] got rid of them. In the end of May, the rotters had been driven away. Zombies were a rare sight in the north-west, and most of the barricades had been brought up to EH. For a while, it was quite peaceful to sleep here. In early July, the RRF declared that Rolt Heights would be the first victim of the Farewell Brain Bash. Fearing the worst, many [Newgrounds] members took shelter in neighbouring suburbs. However, this was just the beginning of a summer of fairly regular break-ins around Rolt and the surrounding areas. Around the end of August, the front end of The Big Bash struck [Newgrounds] territory, with the Minions of the Apocalypse proving particularly troublesome, repeatedly targeting our safehouses. As September started, the zombie infestation grew even worse, with no remaining safe houses in Rolt soon enough. The suburb became a ghost-town, as clan members searched elsewhere for revive points. |
