Description

Voss Lane Police Department is a designated EHB safe house in Central Danversbank. It is maintained by the Danversbank Relief and Reconstruction Project in order to provide a tactical resource point in accordance with the Provisional Danversbank Barricade Plan.

Whenever possible, Voss Lane PD is kept open at VSB+2 to permit access by beginning survivors who have not yet purchased the Free Running ability. In the event that the PD is heavily barricaded the nearest VSB+2 entry points are The Poulet Museum (1W), the junkyard (2S), The Panter Building (2E), Martha General Hospital (Danversbank) (3W) and St Simon's Church (2W 1SW).

The breathing residents of Danversbank appear to take the defence of this PD rather seriously and both zombies and survivors see plenty of action. Survivors who want to get in on the action should learn Free Running and Construction. Zombies who want in should turn up and start chewing on the barricades. Both will eventually get some satisfaction.

Barricade Policy

According to the Provisional Danversbank Barricade Plan, this building should be kept at Extremely Heavily Barricaded (EHB) at all times.

History

Voss Lane PD has been a survivor stronghold in Danversbank since the early days of the zombie plague. According to local gossip it had been completely sacked only once, during the infamous Big Bash raid. The PD has a very long history of zombie break-ins and is a popular zombie takewaway joint. The DRRP have installed revolving doors with an attached dynamo in order to power the PD.

Low-level survivors should note that the PD is a high profile target and since summer 2007 has been ransacked / ruined at least 4 times. The level of siege activity has been constant for months.

Status

04th November 2008 - The PD is ruined and a small zombie horde is successfully camping in the S Central area. Survivors are advised to be cautious. --R33F3RM4N 19:34, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

11th Ocober 2008 - Hungry zeds w8 outside, roughly 15 of them. Angusburger 09:27 11 Ocober 2008 (GMT)

15th May 2008 - In zombie hands--The apprentice 07:32, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

23rd January 2008 - The PD is surprisingly safe and is powered. Zombie attention seems to be focussed elsewhere. --R33F3RM4N 10:30, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

03rd December 2007 - The PD and the surroundings are ruined. The area is very dangerous for breathers. -- R33F3RM4N 14:00, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

16th November 2007 - The PD has been under constant attack for 2 weeks now. The dynamo on the revolving doors has burnt out due to overwork. A wee zed horde of 2 dozen or more is making the PD area a bit of a lottery for survivors who choose to sleep there. Caution is advised. -- R33F3RM4N 22:24, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

02nd September 2007 - The PD is still under siege with frequent break-ins. Power is intermittent. Horde numbers are 20 to 30 with, typically, timed attacks at 18:00 GMT and 00:00 GMT. --R33F3RM4N 23:31, 2 September 2007 (BST)

23rd August 2007 - Zombies numbers are diminished. There are now only fifteen zombies and fifteen bodies outside Voss, and only one or two Z in the surrounding city blocks. Hurrah!--Roger Thirnell 23:34, 23 August 2007 (BST)

8th August 2007 - The immediate vicinity of Voss Lane Police Department is now very dangerous for survivors. Voss' barricades are down, and there are thirty-three zombies in the area. --Roger Thirnell 03:54, 9 August 2007 (BST)

08 August 2007 - The PD is intermittently powered and small zombie hordes of 10-20 are assulting this area. It is advisable for all new players to shelter somewhere else but we need all the help we can get at the momment. Any survivor willing to help us would be most welcome. Especially if they have Construction skill.--Willmemo 17:27, 8 August 2007 (BST)

20th July 2007 - The PD is powered and the barricade levels are variable at present time. Foolish survivors insist on overbarricading this important TRP. As a consequence the local zombies are able to snack on stranded survivors. It is advisable for survivors to pay attention to the listed entry points. -- R33F3RM4N 11:26, 20 July 2007 (BST)

13th April 2007 - Voss Lane PD has been destroyed and Ransacked by the DvEM again and all of the survivors inside were made into meat and eaten whole by the zombie horde around the area. This building will not be secure for a very long time so if you need supplies, you can look to Sleway PD up north (Free Running needed).

07th March 2007 - Voss Lane PD has recovered from the recent ransacking by the DvEM and is back in operation. Check barricade levels before leaving and ensure spare APs to permit entry via the usual entry points (see below).

22nd February 2007 - Voss Lane PD has been cracked by the DvEM and should be considered dangerous. Barricade levels will fluctuate. In event of barricading beyond VSB+2 the entry points will be St Simon's Church or the Poulet Museum.

07th February 2007 - Voss Lane PD is currently maintained at VSB+2 and serves as the firebase for an armed and violent squad of Danversbank survivors. The DRRP recommends that survivors do not sleep in Voss Lane PD as it is the target of multiple daily attacks. Being dragged into the street can be hazardous to your health.
