Guns

Kevan put firearms in the game, but there's a risk in using them. They're like more powerful melee weapons. They aren't used for far range combat. And read the welcome newbie template to learn how to sign. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 20:23, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Not what I meant. Guns in UD are not used for long range purposes, because if they were, then the zombies would seriously be getting their ass whooped by now, and therefore it would make guns overpowered. Guns are balanced by the fact of no pain, no gain. Which means you're gonna have to be bit or clawed at a few times by the zombie you're firing at. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 20:35, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
Big deal. This is like the millionth time UD is in the zombies favor. And after a few months, the survivor population slowly increases...all the way back to 75% for crying out loud! --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 20:43, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
No. Most of them were due to the Mall Tour. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 20:47, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
Yea. The Mall Tour, the first Big Bash, and I think the RRF was involved also. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 20:52, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
The odds of a firearm are the same for the Police as well. It just involves shoting a few zeds, gathering ammo, and gaining XP...and then you can buy some skills. For you, starting as a Private as it's advantages. You get to purchase the Military skills at 75XP, while the other 2 class types have to purchase it for a bit more. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 21:01, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
Well...when I started the game, my second character (Which would be my survivor alt) started as a firefighter, but I started in Shearbank. Back then, all the zeds were down South at the Blackmore Building in Ridleybank. This completely forced me to turn to an alternative for gathering XP, and that was the guessing method with FAKs. It took me a few weeks to get to Lv3, alone. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 22:02, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
I usually try avoiding high profile locations, including malls and police departments, unless I really need supplies. A nonpowered low profile building is the way to go, which would mean clubs and factories and warehouses. Try sleeping around these buildings. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 20:57, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
