Roywood is a suburb of Malton, located in the far northwest of the city.

Formerly a quiet yet thriving village centered around Gerard Place PD, Roywood has for some time fallen into disrepair, a forgotten suburb tucked away near the corner of the city, usually ignored and overlooked by the larger Survivor groups and regularly patrolled by Extinction Zombies. Few years back, rumor had it, there was a strong LCD operating base, who organized and took control of most of the suburb until one day they all left quietly and without reason.

Background

Before the outbreak Roywood was a civil benchmark for the rest of Malton, crime was virtually unknown (despite only a single active police station), its many educational facilities were the envy of the city and its robust, intellectual community was famously open minded and fervent in their discussion of social, economic and political issues. As a result Necrotech found this suburb to be an ideal location for many of its research facilities.

Thanks to its close proximity to the border of Malton, as news of the outbreak spread many of the citizens were able to flee Malton all together before the quarantine came into effect. As a result, in the weeks and months immediately following the implementation of the quarantine the suburb was mostly devoid of survivors and thus of zombies. It was only after the population naturally relocated around Malton, and the demand for Necrotech syringes increased, that the action in Roywood began to heat up.

The Soldiers of Crossman have been working hard to rebuild the suburb of Roywood. Within a week and a half, SoC have repaired and lit up most of Roywood. However, things seem to be heating up now and zombies are slowly starting to catch on.
