Helpful Alt Organiser

Here is another copy paste outline since you are running Alts.

A Black Knight
Black-Knight.jpg
Character class: Civilian Police Officer
Favorite equipment: First Aide Kit("Tis but a scratch"), Axe, Knife, Pointed Sticks
Character profile: Urban Dead profile
Current status: "Only a flesh wound...I've had worst"
Character group: Edmund General United (Orderly of Very Slight Wounds)
Character stats: Level 18
Journal: No journal for A Black Knight

Also you should be aware of the zerg and alt abuse issues so here is a quote in case you have not seen it: Am I allowed to play multiple characters? You are, provided that they lead completely separate existences within the game - your characters should not collaborate, nor share (or stand outside) the same building. Multiple characters found to be working together in a suspicious fashion will be automatically flagged, penalised or even banned permanently by the system. If you're running a few characters, it's best to make sure that they stay in separate suburbs. The "Zerg" tag is one to be avoided because it would be something like being labeled a witch here in New England a couple of hundred years ago! Also to upload images-the toolbox to the left has a link that reads "upload file". That will get you to the page which has the rules and a "Browse" tool. After you read the rules-click "Browse" (for images that you have on your computer, for example) and upload it. Don't forget to name it and categorize it! Like the Menagerie idea...all it needs is Samuel L Jackson: " Snakes? On a plane?...wait ZOMBIE SNAKES ON A PLANE!!! Oh hell no!" Regards, --Belisarius17 14:34, 27 July 2010 (BST)

Thank you! Yes, my son explained the alt-abuse thing to me after the first weekend of playing. I try to keep all my alts in separate areas. I have one each of the four basic classes, but I've only made character pages for three so far. How do I add my Menagerie group page to the list of groups? I tried to edit the Zombie Groups page to add the link, but when I click edit, I only see the first couple of sentences for the page, not any of the alphabetized link lists.--scubamatt 17:41, 27 July 2010 (BST)
Hmmm-that is a good question! Think I will forward it to see if I can get you a quick answer. Misanthropy is often helpful so I will toss it his way.--Belisarius17 18:26, 27 July 2010 (BST)
You rang? Your problem may be using edit sections for specific headers, and not for the page overall. Make sure to use the "edit" tab at the top of the page, and not any of the "edit" links dotted along the page, as they will only edit the specfic section they're attached to. Of course, if you're talking about Category:Zombie Groups, then that's a different ball game. You'll need to add the code [[Category:Zombie Groups]] to your group's page, and it will then be included on the category page. Category pages function differently to regular articles, and only their lead-in sections are directly on the page itself, and listings they contain are pulled from articles using the revelant category tag. When I fall, I'll weep for happiness 18:36, 27 July 2010 (BST)
Aha! That was indeed the problem, and my group is now showing up on the Groups list, under the T section. Thank you very much for the prompt replies!--scubamatt 19:25, 27 July 2010 (BST)

Hi Cujo!

Hi, it's me SweetIrony!  :) I'm glad I could brighten your day, the other day. This game can be hard on new players, so I'm happy to help out the babahz. Any of your characters are welcome anytime in Quartly Library, though at the moment we're all dead so we can't check out a book for you... but when we're alive and retake the library you can pay us a visit! I hope you're enjoying the game! Grab harmanz, harm harmanz, grab braanz an barbaga zaarz! Bah bah mah zambah brazzah! Sweetirony 17:28, 25 July 2010 (BST)

Hi! Thanks for making my first day as a zombie dog a memorable one! I went to the library, but it was full of zombies fighting over cookbooks, so I kept moving. Yesterday, my son was surfing the internet and came across some people translating one of the Harry Potter books into Zombie speech, and busted out laughing. He is a big fan of the books, and he showed me the page he was reading. I noticed the link at the top of the page said "Quartly Library"!--scubamatt 11:50, 27 July 2010 (BST)

Hiya Scubba!

I like templates too although I am not very "techy". One way to experiment with them is to click on the picture in the template. That will take you to the image. Once there you will see that the image is on a Template page. If you click on that location and go to the edit tab, you can then copy the template code onto a new page and experiment with your own images and text until you figure out the code. Here are a couple:

Wolf3.jpg Wulves
Scouteric is a member of the Wulves group.

Spartacus.jpg I'm Spartacus
Belisarius17 claims to be Spartacus.

2ndcompany.JPG Wulves/2nd Company
FIRST ON THE FIELD & LAST TO LEAVE

Colonials.png FREEDOM
This user is an American Revolutionary

Hope that helps with the template part-also there is a template "thread" you can get off the Mainpage. Regards, --Belisarius17 20:51, 23 July 2010 (BST)

Thank you for the tips and the links! --scubamatt 09:04, 24 July 2010 (BST)
