Letter
You contiune reading the letter, realizing the extent of it, and how absurd it probably sounds to you. As you turn each page, paper fragments fall into the open, telling the experiences of some survivor amidst the apocalypse.

Page 4

There are some things you should know on your means to an end never ending. Something is out to get you and it was once like you and I. This one, it is no longer human. It is an entity, if you will. It has forgone its sanity and sunk into its knowledge. This comfort for its senses is satisfied by its desires, and these desires will manipulate cruelty out of the kind, certainty out of the uncertain, and trust from which none ought to be given… it makes reality out of appearances. It is subtle and will appear innocuous to you, with whatever form it chooses to impose on your will, however the lie appears as the truth.

I am sorry to say, but you very well may die. Death will be hard to resist, right before the end…


Paper Fragments

The noise outside is intolerable. The silence will be here soon enough, the hectics, not so active.


There is no more noise. I’m going outside.
