The Brotherhood of Steel is a techno-religious group of individuals who all have a zeal to restore everything to the way it was before the Outbreak of the Malton Plague.
Overview
The Brotherhood are generally good guys, but they have their faults as they don't care for zombies and worship technology feverishly.
They believe that technology presents the only chance for final victory over the zombie hordes. To that end, the Brotherhood takes particular interest in the defense of NecroTech buildings, such as their Citadel, the Penning Building.
Before the Outbreak, the Brotherhood of Steel were not interested in justice for the obviously weaker and less fortunate around them. Their motives were often unclear, and somewhat unguided.
