I know this is necro but it really is a bit annoying that some groups are being considered subcategories. I understand the utility: it avoids them having to post every group specific page in the main category by collecting them under one subcategory. | I know this is necro but it really is a bit annoying that some groups are being considered subcategories. Category: Human Groups discussion
The following discussion is from the Category:Human Groups page. It was moved here after the page was deleted.
Group Namechange
Could someone please move the "Zombra's Pub Rangers" to the "Earletown Rangers" Thank you, --Taco2 21:54, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
- You might want to put this on A/MR. 21:58, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
Groups as categories
Are groups meant to have a category of their own, such as DHPD has right now?
Doesn't seem right. --Spook 08:22, 7 Feb 2006 (GMT) --
I know this is necro but it really is a bit annoying that some groups are being considered subcategories. I understand the utility: it avoids them having to post every group specific page in the main category by collecting them under one subcategory.
However imo, the ideal solution is to just include the top page for your unit in the main category and include navigation on that page to the other group related pages (don't add those other pages to the main category).
Subcategories should just be for larger collections of groups like hospital groups or police groups etc, not used for indivual groups. Just my two cents. WolfgangSho (talk) 14:47, 20 October 2023 (UTC)
T Section
I added sort keys to a bunch of groups starting with The in order to clean up the T section, and sorting them by the second word. I hope that doesn't make everyone too confused, but it made sense to me :/ -Daranz-Talk 22:31, 8 Oct 2005 (BST)
It would be nice if these were organized by suburb
- Not every group is based in a particular suburb. --Raelin 06:59, 29 Sep 2005 (BST)
I have wiki'd but am no expert. I am confused when I try to edit this page to create a group. I don't see any of the groups listed on the edit page.. Can someone please explain. Howard Hendrickson
- Create your group's page, and then add to the end of the entry. --ShaqFu 08:27, 5 Oct 2005 (BST)
One person groups are totally awesome ^^ Maybe we should have an official rule, like no less than 3 members in a group.--Milo 03:58, 6 Oct 2005 (BST)
How do we include a group picture and the stats that some of the groups have? -Malton Senate 04:07, 6 Oct 2005 (BST)
- If you want to find out how an effect is accomplished on some wiki page, just view the page's source. In this case, it is based on Template:Groupbox--Milo 04:11, 6 Oct 2005 (BST)
- To clarify, you want to add something like this to your group page:
Name of the group | |
Abbreviation: | |
Group Numbers: | approximate count is fine |
Leadership: | Leader/s |
Goals: | Brief goals statement |
Recruitment Policy: | Recruitment requirements |
Contact: | Name/link/Email |

Thanks Milo I'm still getting used to all of this Wiki stuff. -Malton Senate 05:43, 6 Oct 2005 (BST)
Somebody needs to clean up spelling and grammar on some of these groups, or make it clear that the groups' descriptions are made by only specific users. The constant mistakes are making the wiki look bad. Slicer 00:15, 13 Nov 2005 (GMT)
Ok, I give up. HOW IN THE WORLD DOES ANY OF THIS WIKI STUFF WORK??? Sorry but I can't make heads or tails of it. How do I make pages? How do I copy this template? Please help me out here.--Mastergw 06:24, 20 Nov 2005 (GMT)
I'm sorry about that. It seems that I have figured this wiki stuff out.--Mastergw 07:12, 20 Nov 2005 (GMT)
For some reson the Sons of Treweeke dont seem to show up on either the General Group list or the Human Groups. Can anyone explain why? --Morrinn 13:11, 25 Nov 2005 (GMT)
- Just click on the "next 200" link. --Seagull Flock 13:49, 25 Nov 2005 (GMT)
Sorry to sound like even more of an idiot but, what i'm doing is just going into the human categories page, pressing edit at the top then writing my artical and it appears above the subcatergories heading.--7ate9
- Check your talk page User_talk:7ate9 --Brizth 11:19, 20 Jan 2006 (GMT)
how do i create my own page.--7ate9 11:36, 20 Jan 2006 (GMT)
- From help page:
- copy this URL into your browser's address bar and replace Dance_Zombie_Dance in with the name of your group: http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Dance_Zombie_Dance.
I feel like such a tosser but how do i create a linke in the Human groupe category page to my page, after all this you need to help me fiqure out some way to repayyou.--7ate9 11:50, 20 Jan 2006 (GMT)
- Add somewhere on your page (either at the top or the bottom). If your name starts with "the" or "a", we recommend you use . But that's all there is to it! -- Odd Starter talk | Mod 12:29, 20 Jan 2006 (GMT)
I did that but it still isn't coming up in the list, it's called Guerilla unit.--7ate9 12:48, 20 Jan 2006 (GMT)
Category Overflow
Please note the (next 200) link on the category page. It takes the user to the next page of the category, so that nothing is really lost here. -Daranz-Talk 05:37, 29 Nov 2005 (GMT)
"Brain Candy" and "Link title"
What's with the "Brain Candy" tab on all the group boxes and the link title links on all the pages now? What did I miss? -CWD 23:04, 2 Jan 2006 (GMT)

Anyone know what huamn groups are in Ketchelbank at the moment???
The group I cofounded, The Malton Zookeepers, is based in the zoo at Ketchelbank. Canopy 14:38, 24 Jan 2006 (GMT)
Brotherhood of the Reckoning
Brotherhood of the Reckoning is clearly a PK group; how does one go about moving them to their proper home? Kongjie 20:32, 11 May 2006 (BST)
Why are 4 groups contained in a subcategory - that's just untidy..
Yeah someone with more skill than me - fix that...
Looking for Group
Can anyone get tell me of a good group and where their base is, Im currantly in Penny Hill. My characters called Jim Jam mair (sorry was meant to be a joke character but turns out hes quite good so i stuck with him. I have Arms training and Free Runnin.
- Each Suburb has the groups currently active in it listed on the suburb page. This is the page for Penny Heights. The groups names should be links, you can click them to go to the groups description pages(which usually has contact info). Or, if you'd rather just find a group anywhere in Malton you can go to Category:Recruitment where every group actively recruiting should be listed.--Karekmaps?! 18:44, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
AZS - Anti-zombie squad
Hello. I just wanted to say that "Anti-zombie squad/gibbz" is just a member's page -not a group. --Janus Abernathy 14:01, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
Movagezor
Who else thinks its finally an appropriate moment to move this all to Category:Pro-Survivor Groups? The term 'Human' is so stupid. DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION (TALK | CONTRIBS) 08:41, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
- Do you mean to categorize into Survivor/PKer/Zombie groups? - Stephen Krantz 06:12, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
- I see. - Stephen Krantz 07:09, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
Addition
Can someone add the Zombra's Pub and the Zombra's Pub Rangers to the Survivors Groups. Thanks.--Taco2 00:24, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
