Description

Challenger Street is a street in the suburb of Vinetown.

History

This street was the first area of Vinetown rebuilt under its regeneration project. Modern homes were constructed, and were the model for all of Vinetown. The cost of the project was huge and temporary rehousing of tenants was unpopular, leading to riots in Chidgey Avenue.
