UDWiki:Administration/Policy Discussion/Civil Conduct Policy
Purpose
The discussion surrounding the recent Vandalism case brought against Iscariot points it out very clearly. This wiki has no policy regarding civility and respect towards other users. It's a bit of an unwritten guideline insofar as it's encouraged that everyone gives everyone common courtesy, but as in real life, there's no hard and fast rule about it. There is no written policy regarding general user conduct that doesn't fall into Vandalism, Impersonation, etc. This policy would add wording to the current rules and regulations stating the conduct expected of users: Civility, courtesy, and respect.
Punishment
Punishment would be up to the Administration team, but I personally reccommend the same general standard used for vandals. Warnings first, then temporary bans, then permanent bans.
Discussion
This is a very rough, basic draft, but I felt it was important to have this policy written by a large number of users, so it's something that can be agreed on more often than not, to keep the number of arbitration and misconduct cases resulting from this policy's usage to a minimum.
Obviously, discuss this on the Discussion page, not here.
