The Sons of Morrigan

"socair gaiscioch"

The Sons of Morrigan are a small war band of survivors who typically move from suburb to suburb based on unspecified needs. They take on many faces once they have found a temporary home, from cleaning the streets to working in local hospitals or even assisting at revivification points. Regardless of the unknown purposes it is certain that the presence of the Sons of Morrigan are not unwelcome.

Tactically, Morrigan base combat thought processes on Gaelic war tradition, words such as Gallowglass are typical among them. Most likely this is due to the heavy Gael, Germanic and Norse heritage of the war band.

The first known sighting of the mysterious war band was in the suburb of Crowbank. Little is known of the group's activities in this area and they were soon sighted heading North West through Malton. Lukinswood was the next destination and tell tale signatures of the group (well defended locations, crude yet highly organized and customized living areas and their signature black bird graffiti) indicate their stay was of a slight extended time than that of Crowbank. After pressure from the zombie hordes to the south was too great, the Sons disapeared and were seen organizing the the Shearbank region, where they operate today.

The Sons of Morrigan have many interesting characteristics. They seem to be a highly trained group that are organized in the extreme, which is odd because they are often seen alone outside of their established outposts. Their clan based structure ensures that each member can act autonomously thanks to a fluid structure of command and a high value on personal intuition of each member. Each member has a specially crafted metal bracelet with the words "Revive" etched into them. Because of the appearance of many non-standard weapons and armor among the war band, they may not be original members of the Malton populace. Many military units that have gone missing in Black Op incursions that are denied by the government at large, and because of the dangerous nature of these missions and their obvious political repercussions, often survivors cannot be located again and are considered dead. It is not out of the realm of possibility that the Sons are members of such groups.

Another tell-tale sign of the Sons of Morrigan is the black bird that is often seen on walls of buildings that the Sons inhabit. This icon comes in many different shapes, but rarely has any signature or letters added to it.

The Sons are known for their extreme reactions to what they see as slights to survivors. They have been crossed only a few times, but have responded with violence in the few times. They've been often seen assisting local groups with various tasks, but rarely do they stay on any one thing for long. They often are seen following the hordes and picking at the smaller groups, haring at the heels of the Horde at Large.
