Neutral Point of View
The Mingus Big Band is a triple-nature group (survivor, zed and PKer) of travelling musicians. Currently in the early recruitment stages, it welcomes all members new to the game or veteran Maltonians. The Band moves throughout Malton, seeking to bring the Jazz back to the people who need it most.
Want to see The Mingus Big Band for yourself? You're in luck! The Band can be booked to play a gig anywhere within the city limits - simply get in contact with them on the talk page or on forum.
Keep an eye out - they may be travelling to a club near you!

A Beginning
At the beginning of the outbreak, the recently dead began to rise. With them, the jazz legend Charlie Mingus found his way to the surface, and into Malton. Shambling along to a walking bass line, he found his way across the city, and into a Necrotech facility. One quick stick later and Charlie was back in the land of the living, a little stiff, but otherwise fine. With his new found breath of life, Charlie began to walk through the city he'd find himself inside. And he was disappointed. Everywhere he turned, everywhere he listened, there was no music. He could not find a single note amongst the thousands of survivors, or the zombie hordes that controlled much of the city. And this made him confused, sad, and angry.
