BMC Motto:

"For pie and country!"

Group Numbers:

less than 10

Leadership:

Council of three.

Goals:

In short: Survival!

Recruitment Policy:

1. The ability to put BMC in your group box and be an active member within Whittenside's borders.

2. The ability to register at our messageboard and submit your Urban Dead profile will also be required, other than that you are not required to use the forum.

Neutral Point Of View:

The BMC is a pro survivor group operating out of the suburb of Whittenside. They are not the elite within organization, and have a rather relaxed and somewhat careless playstyle, regardless they are reasonably successful. They are friendly in relations with other survivors in-game, and friendly with both zombie players and survivor players when on the groups board, or visiting other boards.

The BMC

As described by a member of the BMC.

Ah, the BMC, I've been a member for *grumble mumble counting* ..... nearly 6 months now, and it's all I ever wanted in a group. People I can consider mates, people with huge amounts of experience in UD, and people that once were players, now just exist to have a good chat. When I started I was a very low level. I was killed many times back then. But the BMC were always ready to catch me whenever I fell. it was like a Safty net that you could have a chat with. Even through thick and thin, where there have been arguments, and fights, and PKers, and redemptions, the whole thing has managed to stick together. And that's all from me, I hope you join up, you'll enjoy it, and if you don't join the BMC will still do all they can to revive you if your down, and protect Whittenside.

Goals/Policies

Goals:

  1. Survive.
  2. Maintain the safety of Whittenside and residents.
  3. Defend the public revive services (Woolley).
  4. Find a pie shop and a bar so we can have pies & pints.

Policies:

  • PKing: The BMC does not attack Survivors except in retaliation to attacks on our members. If the PKer in question is a member of another group, our problem is with the individual only and we will not hold the group responsible.

  • Zerging: The BMC is also against Zerging. Any alts belonging to BMC members must be kept at least 1 suburbs length apart - approx. 10 squares (i.e. you can't have them right next to each other on the borders of different suburbs)

  • Graffiti: We do not spray BMC graffiti over that of allied groups and will not spraypaint any graffiti whatsoever on their HQs (inside or out). Being a Whittenside based group, we will not put recruiting graffiti up in allied suburbs and ask that our allies based outside Whittenside refrain from spraying their equivalent graffiti here.

  • Barricading and Sacred Ground Policies: The BMC broadly support the the Uniform Barricade Policy but at times when the suburb is under heavy attack will adopt the Whittenside Barricade Plan in its place. We also support the Sacred ground policy insofar as we will not target zombies at cemeteries (unless we know them to be Brain Rotters or members of a known enemy zombie group) but the best place to get revived in Whittenside is Woolley Grove [86, 94]

  • Zone: The BMC does not protect the entire of Whittenside, but a specific zone. This is due to the strain on group members having to patrol a whole suburb. Depending on the danger level the defense area changes. There are three levels.

  • Pay it forward: The BMC support "Pay it forward", the act of reviving someone immediately upon being revived. As such all BMC members should aim to carry a syringe with them at all times.

  • Having a laugh: The BMC is all about being laid back and having a laugh, so chill out and join us at our forum. Bring beer and pie.

Archives:

  • News archive can be found here.
  • Talk archive can be found here.

Barricade Plan:

The BMC helped create the plan, and support it in times of siege when the suburb is in danger of being overrun. Lower levels of barricades are supported in times of peace.

History

A history of the BMC, written by Andre. Much of it is out of memory as the BMC hasn't kept many records of events.

The Beginning

The BMC began sometime in late 2005. No one is exactly certain about the date, the oldest record in the archive is from the 16th of November 2005. It was a news piece by former member and co founder Jenkins, informing that him and the founder Jaime (Warrior x2) had found a suitable location for a new base.

As the days went on it seems that out of some freak coincidence most of the BMC ended up either dead, or near Fort Perryn. Which happened to be where an ally was stationed, who took the time to revive them (if you haven't guessed, that was the writer of this history, and Jaime's brother). It was soon suggested that the group should live in Whittenside and Fort Perryn.

So after having set up a HQ new members began to appear, among them Mart, Treanor, Jasnar, and more. The group grew bigger, and somewhat more ambitious but also wary of the fort, it was a prime target for zombie hordes. At this point a guy called Telc joined the BMC. At first seemingly a quiet fellow he then took it upon himself to talk to the SWFM (Socialist Workers Front of Malton).

If at this point you are still interested (why on earth are you even reading this in the first place) then go to History.

Andre Whitehouse:

Co-founder of the BMC, has been helping the group for over two years. He was once a council member but he resigned. He is responsible for creating the BMC wiki. He is one of the co-founders of the original BMC forum. He has acted as a trusted adviser since autumn 2006.

CaptainScarlet:

Cerdo Gomez:

Former council member, made everyone think he was French, which was a laugh considering this is the British Military Corps.

Charlie Chaplan:

Former council member, served with the BMC for almost 2 years. Was known for having over 20000 experience points.

Evert:

Served selflessly as leader of zone 3 when no one else wanted the job.

Iainc, arpstorm, and sinaris:

Commonly known as the 3 revivateers these 3 individuals provided vital revives for the BMC at times when all hope seemed lost.

London Calling:

Former council member, known for giving us the best advice and making really long posts.

Siddarth:

Former council member, worked hard in the council and was fun to have in the group.

SGT Jenkins:

Co founder of the BMC, known for returning briefly after a 1 1/2 year absence and succesfully Saving the BMC from Nuke Texas in his short term in office.
