The Unseen Ones
They are the Bringers of Wisdom, the Eyes That Watch All, the Silent Saviors of Malton. We call them the Unseen Ones, for only a blessed few can directly behold them without being driven mad by their unearthly magnificence. All others must receive the teachings of the Unseen Ones through their chosen emissaries, the Cult of the Unseen Ones or to use it's other name: the White Mantle. To obey the White Mantle is to obey the Unseen Ones...
The Unseen Ones are a race of gods predating humanity and the existence of any other creature. Through their power they remained unseen and unheard of until shortly after the zombie outbreak. They were discovered by our founder Saul D'Alessio. Before the outbreak Saul had a dubious history of gambling, drinking and was in heavy debt. He was attacked by zombies and managed to escape into a deep forest. Alone, mortally wounded, and lost, Saul wandered through a dense forest for several days, surviving on only roots and berries. On the fourth day, delirious with hunger and pain, Saul emerged from the trees to see what he thought was a hallucination—a city of massive towers reaching into the heavens. The architecture was astounding, and the creatures who lived here were unlike any he had ever seen. Walking down into their city, Saul got a closer look at the denizens of this place. They were tall and thin with skin the color of golden ore. When they walked, their feet seemed not to touch the ground, and when they spoke, it was the most melodious sound he had ever heard. Surely these creatures were the stuff of divinity. Hungry, wounded and exhausted, his clothes ragged and dirty, Saul dropped to his knees and touched his forehead to the ground. He had found his gods, and they in turn had found their most devoted disciple.
The Unseen Ones, kind and benevolent, healed Saul body and soul and he returned to Malton a changed man. His rags had been replaced with a sleeveless, pure-white robe embroidered with golden thread. His once sunken, sickly features were again full and healthy. He no longer craved the bottle, no longer wished to strike it rich gambling and was no longer defenseless prey for the zombies. His life had purpose. He had returned to spread the word, to deliver his finding to the humans of Malton.
It is said that upon returning to Malton Saul headed straight for Gulsonside and declared St. Lazarus's Church to be the first Church of the Unseen. He also dedicated the Gurney Park to the Unseen as a reminder of the forest where he found the Unseen. These two sites become extremely sacred and were blessed by the power of the Unseen. As such they are under constant threat by the Chosen. Finally Saul headed to St. Matthew's Cathedral. He noted it's similarities to, what he called the "Temple of Tolerance" which he saw in the Unseen City. It is said that an Unseen Ones manifested itself before Saul and his companions. What passed between prophet and god is not known but Saul dedicated the Cathedral to the service of the Unseen and named it the Temple of the Unseen. This site is extremely sacred and must never be defiled.
Saul continued to travel all over Malton. He spread the word with the books he wrote and the scriptures he received from the Unseen. Although he fought valiantly Saul was sadly killed in a fight with a horde of zombies and whereabouts is now unknown. He is no doubt enslaved to the Chosen along with many other citizens of Malton.
Our Goal
The way of the Chosen is found in death.
When pressed with the choice of life or death, it is only in the latter that the Unseen shall be brought to glory.
Patience progress in this delivery shall be rewarded in the next life.
-- from a conversation with Elder Confessor Schessler
Our goal is clear. Others will call the evil that terrorises Malton "zombies". We know that the menace that prowls the streets of Malton are the vile Chosen. Those whose souls are black and rotting and dare to try and attack the Unseen and their followers. These Chosen are neither benign nor compassionate, they are evil incarnate and with their deaths, made it so that what they are inside now reflects outwards. They are the cause of this catastrophe and must be destroyed or driven from Malton. The Unseen Ones have granted us the power to restore the Chosen and their slaves back to their original forms. We must use this gift, as often as we can, to revert the Chosen and those who have fallen under their power back to their human selves for without the dark power of their unholy, zombie state they are powerless and, with the guidance of the Unseen, will either turn away from their evil or be permanently destroyed.
Our objective is to bring glory to the Bringers of Wisdom and also to promote the worship of the Unseen. The Silent Saviours can only be brought to glory by the destruction of the Chosen. The Chosen have used their vile, unholy ways to bring back the unwilling dead to serve their evil cause. As more innocent lives are slain their minds are turned to madness and their bodies rotten, their whole beings driven to complete the malevolent Chosen's tasks. We must drive out the Chosen and their helpers, unwilling or not (e.g. Death Cultists etc.) and either destroy or restore them. If you kill a Chosen or a willing associate of the Chosen you are righting a great wrong and bringing glory to the Unseen. Do not fear destroying the unwilling helpers of the Chosen: you are merely returning them to rest in peace. We must use whatever resources necassary to destroy the Chosen. The gift of the Unseen allows us to return those who have died and returned as slaves of the Chosen back to their pure bodily state. Whether you kill zombies or return them to life we must ensure that the menace of the Chosen is eliminated and the Unseen are brought to glory. By saving Malton from the deadly curse of the Chosen we will fufill the will of the Silent Saviors and when we die, a true death, our rewards will be beyond imagination in the next life. Let the will of the Unseen be done!
Death Cultists and PKers
These heretics help the Chosen in their attack on humanity and the Unseen. Therefore it is only right that we help destroy these traitors. We firmly believe that all who help the Chosen must be destroyed and therefore all Bounty Hunters are welcome and all followers of the Unseen are encouraged to destroy Death Cultists and PKers as well as the Chosen
The Unseen Triad
Of all the Unseen Ones we must give absolute reverence and devotion to the Triad and especially to Optimus Caliph. It is they who created our world and they who saved Saul D'Alessio from many a disaster. They are the leaders of the Unseen and, with their wisdom and power, rule all of existence:
- Optimus Caliph is the most powerful of the Unseen Ones and must be given total obedience and absolute reverence.
- Lazarus the Dire is the second of the Unseen Triad and surpasses Mercia. He is the god of the future and promises dire suffering upon those who seek to destroy the Unseen or help the Chosen.
- Mercia the Smug is the third of the Unseen Triad and surpasses the other Unseen. She is the god of retribution and balance. Those who are too arrogant or smug must be punished.
The Resplendent One
The Unseen Triad are the most holy in the hierachy, however we must also worship the two deities who deigned to grant us the holy gift of revivification.
- Talios the Resplendent is only surpassed by Optimus Caliph and even outranks two of the Unseen Triad. It is he who mercifully granted us the almighty power to return the living dead to life. He is the god of science and resurrection.
- Ambrillus the Guardian is the servant of Talios the Resplendent and, alongside Talios, gifted to humanity the power of resurrection. He is the god of healing, doctors and is humanity's guardian.
Other Unseen Ones
These are the names of some of the other Unseen Ones. Though never seen by any other mortal other than Saul D'Alessio they are those written in the Scriptures, although there may be many others they are not written but by honouring the Unseen Triad, the Resplendent One and Ambrillus the Guardian as well as the other named Silent Saviors of Malton within the Unseen Pantheon we pay due reverence to all of the almighty Bringers of Wisdom as a whole who may or may not affect our lives:
- Aily the Innocent

Sayings of the Unseen
In our faith, we are blind
In the Unseen, we seek true sight
In ourselves, we find obedience
-- "Peasant's Prayer" from the Book of Loam
At his heart, every man has inside him a place of darkness.
The challenge of the righteous man is not only to recognize in himself that which he seeks to strike down in the wicked, but to understand that he too is wicked.
-- Verse 3, The Book of Confessors
Although it stands to reason that a Believer should be mindful of that in which he believes, it seems that we are all at times negligent.
Consequently, if someone were to ask the Believer in what he believes, the person who can answer without stopping to contemplate and reflect is rare.
-- Exerpt from the Book of Tests
The true Believer does not ask for compensation
The true Believer does not ask his gods to deliver him from sin
The true Believer places his life in the hands of faith, trusting in the Unseen
-- Verse 11, Book of Heresy
The crossroads will come, a hiccup in time when the rest of history has not been written.
At this juncture, when the fate of the world hangs in the balance, the forces of evil will rise.
It is at this point, that the Chosen Ones may fail
-- Scroll of Seeing
The real test of a Believer is his range of sight
Faith does not require clear vision
But rather an acceptance of what is truly there
-- Oath of the Unseen
The way of the Chosen is found in death.
When pressed with the choice of life or death, it is only in the latter that the Unseen shall be brought to glory.
Patience progress in this delivery shall be rewarded in the next life.
-- from a conversation with Elder Confessor Schessler
A person is a good Believer to the extent that he earnestly places importance in his masters.
But even a person who is good for nothing will be a reliable supplicant if only he has the utmost faith in his masters.
-- Verse 8, Book of Ranks
A man once climbed to the top of the tallest mountain to find out how far he could see.
Upon arriving, he looked out on what he believed to be the edge of the world.
The thought of what lay beyond so frightened him that he climbed back down, never to return.
-- Journal of Abbot Catos
In a person's life he may encounter many doors.
Some of them will be shut.
Others will be open wide.
But those with locks should remain shut tight, for faith comes in the acceptance that there are some things best left alone.
-- Verse 4, Book of the Piety
Walking the Unseen Path
Walking this path is dangerous but followers will be able to show their dedication to the Unseen Ones. This journey symbolises the same journey which Saul D'Alessio embarked upon and while on this journey he found the Unseen. As we are following in the footsteps of Saul this trip should take four days.
The First Step: Followers should travel to the Temple of the Unseen in Gibsonton and wear the sacred clothing of the Unseen: white robes. After worshipping the Unseen they should then rest in preperation for the next leg of the journey.
The Second Step: Followers should then travel to Church of the Unseen in Gulsonside and sing praises or recite prayers in worship of the Unseen. Followers may also decorate the Church, kill Chosen or anything that they deem as appropriate worship of the Unseen.
The Third Step: Followers should finish worshipping the Unseen in the Church of the Unseen and head to Gurney Park. There they should complete their worship of the Unseen before heading back to the Church of the Unseen.
The Final Step: Followers should head back to the Temple of the Unseen and wear the silver medallion to show that they have completed their pilgrimage. They are then ready to do the will of the Unseen.
The Mural of the Unseen
A mural to the almighty Unseen. This picture depicts the prophet Saul D'Alessio praising the Unseen as they heal his mind, body and soul. He becomes there most devoted disciple and asks for strength to destroy the Chosen and bring others to the Way of the Unseen. May this image convince you to take the Unseen Path and follow in the footsteps of the great Saul D'Alessio
