How To Make a Discussion

Adding a New Discussion

To add a general discussion topic, please add a Tier 3 Header (===Example===) below, with your idea or proposal.

Adding a New Suggestion

  • Paste the copied text above the other suggestions, right under the heading.
  • Substitute the text in RED CAPITALS with the details of your suggestion.
  • The process is illustrated in this image.
{{subst:DevelopingSuggestion
|time=~~~~
|name=SUGGESTION NAME
|type=TYPE HERE
|scope=SCOPE HERE
|description=DESCRIPTION HERE
}}
  • Name - Give the suggestion a short but descriptive name.
  • Type is the nature of the suggestion, such as a new class, skill change, balance change.
  • Scope is who or what the suggestion affects. Typically survivors or zombies (or both), but occasionally Malton, the game interface or something else.
  • Description should be a full explanation of your suggestion. Include information like flavor text, search odds, hit percentages, etc, as appropriate. Unless you are as yet unsure of the exact details behind the suggestion, try not to leave out anything important. Check your spelling and grammar.

Cycling Suggestions

  • Suggestions with no new discussion in the past month may be cycled without notice.

Implement Suggestions

Timestamp: Kamikazie-Bunny (talk) 19:43, 15 April 2015 (UTC)
Type: Game Breaking
Scope: Everyone
Description: Quite simple really:

Implement all peer reviewed suggestions.

Undecided suggestions are decided by a coin flip; heads, they are implemented, tails they are not. Kevan flips.

Peer Rejected suggestions are discarded.

Discussion (Implement Suggestions)

Disagree, I think game experimenting would be interesting, I'm trying to bring friends into the game, gotta see how well that works. If I'm successful I could get a whole college (U.S.) playing UDJoshCz (talk) 21:19, 15 April 2015 (UTC)

Discussion (Limit on Corpses)

Mmm...not really understanding the reasoning behind this one. The two sides are supposed to play differently, and the game is balanced around the idea that humans have bursty damage/healing which is limited by their inventories and how well they've been searching, while zombies have constant-rate damage/healing which is limited solely by their AP. Applying the logic you've mentioned here, if we're going to limit how much they can eat from a corpse because humans are limited by FAKs, then it'd also make sense to limit how many times they could attack survivors because humans are limited by ammo. Except that doesn't make sense, since the sides are designed to play differently and they're balanced accordingly.

Plus, it makes no sense to nerf the corpse eating mechanic when barely any zombies use it anyway. Most of the ones I know either suicide jump from a building or get another zombie to kill them if they need to be healed. After all, they go back to full HP every time they die, and both suicide jumping and dying from another zombie only costs 1AP to recover from, which is WAY cheaper than eating corpses. I thought this was already in game. --RosslessnessWant to complete a dangerous mission? 09:40, 15 April 2015 (UTC)

Right, did some space work. 3 dead bodies and one reviving at my locationm ate successfully 30 times before I got to "The only fresh meat here is tainted with strange chemicals. It fizzes against your tongue, and you spit it out." So you can only feed on each corpse ten times. --RosslessnessWant to complete a dangerous mission? 09:40, 15 April 2015 (UTC)
Correct. Corpses can only be fed upon ten times total. As well, a zombie feeding on a stack that has already been fed upon will receive the "fresh meat" message. Relative info here. ~Vsig.png 13:24, 15 April 2015, The year of our lord (UTC)

Weapons from Museums

Timestamp: Jerran 06:17, 11 April 2015
Type: New Item drops
Scope: More weapons, more use for muesums
Description: I think that Kevan should add (assuming he ever considers updating the game again) museums of piracy and medieval history, and we should be able to scavenge weaponry and obtain clothes from these museums.

Discussion (Weapons from Museums)

I would like the costumes, nost 100% on the weapons though.JoshCz (talk) 22:41, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
