Description

History

This, now vacant, junkyard used to be home to "Wallace's U-Dump", a locally owned dumping facility. The owner, Wallace Spalding, didn't charge for the use of the lot to dump garbage in, but, instead, required each load to be inspected by either himself, or one of his sons. It is unknown why the practice took place, or how Wallace even made money from the junkyard, but it is speculated to have something to do with the large, partially constructed, and odd structures and tools made from wreckage lying around the junkyard.

The most notable contraption, consisting of a soda machine, a burnt out car, a few portable generators, and other odds and ends lying around the junkyard, was the flying car that Spalding himself showed off during a news special 3 years before the zombie incident. The car, piloted by Spalding, worked, and he flew it around the junkyard. Unfortunately, the car's power cut out and Spalding's craft plummeted into a heap. Spalding was pronounced dead at Gall General Hospital.

Spalding's sons, however, did not continue their father's legacy. They moved away and left the junkyard abandoned. The ruins were a common tourist attraction for some time (about 6 months), but then died down as companies began dumping trash into the lot.

Spalding Place, located one west of the junkyard, was renamed and dedicated to Wallace Spalding, wacky scientist extraordinaire, three weeks after his death.
