Description

Built in 1973 to house Wadley Teachers Credit Union, the building was bought in 1983 as a branch of New Nantucket Financial Corp. However, the new owner folded amid a short-selling futures scandal in 2001. The Wadley Bank building remained abandoned at the time of Malton's zombie outbreak.

Headquarters of the Royal Randoms Bank of Wadley

In October 2007, survivor group The Randoms chose Wadley Bank as the headquarters for their new financial arm, The Royal Randoms Bank of Wadley. The bank was launched to offer Buttonville's consumers a competitive option to the neighboring Hutchin Bank, which had been claimed as a temporary headquarters by the PK group RKA.

History in Popular Culture

The film Dog Day Afternoon was filmed in Wadley. Originally a generational saga detailing the history of the Randoms, the screenplay was rewritten at the insistence of star Al Pacino, who demanded that only one character remain transgendered.
