Chapter 2
The Streltsy

When I joined the group they were currently at war with a group of groups in the south west corner of Malton. The group that recruited me was named the Streltsy, after some Russian pre-quarantine soldiers. The other group, the South West Alliance, were a group of self appointed cops, medics, and a couple militias banded together.

Well I made my way to the south west corner after stocking up on ammo. It was maybe a days hike as long as I went from building to building. The south west was being ravaged by a horde of zeds. I had to cross through a couple red zones where the buildings were ransacked.

See, the zeds have this ability to destroy a building while inside it. When a building is ransacked you can't get to it and you end up going to street level. When the zeds ransack a building they destroy any free running structures or block windows so you can't just from building to building.

I made it past the horde without incident. The group had made a hit inside of the Crew Avenue Police Department, or as everyone calls it CAPD. I was the last on the scene after the attack of my group. I hit one of the cops to help send our message.

The next day there was some of the CAPD's top brass inside the PD. I coordinated the attack to strike the leaders. In a matter of two minutes three of CAPD's best men were gunned down and their bodies dumped onto the street. Unfortunately for me CAPD's best member, a woman by the name of Susan Popham, found me and shot me up.

The next day one of the guys came by and revived me. I went back to the PD to find that CAPD's leader was up and back in the PD. I got him again. It seemed though that no matter what I did I couldn't stay alive for more than one day.

That is when things got bad. Most of us got shot down in the night. Someone came by and revived most of us but never got me. I sat there for another day before I got revived. I went and found the leader again. Easy target.

Well in the night I was found. One of the CAPD, Giles something or other, lit up the cinema I was in.

(Stops for a moment, then continues after remembering something.)

Giles Sednik, he lit up the cinema. He only hurt me before I was able to get away. The leader of CAPD, Wilson Smithers, found me a few buildings away and finished me off.

(Shakes his head while lighting a cigarette.)

Well I made my way to the spot assigned for revives. I stood there for four days...

(Holds up 4 fingers while taking a drag from his cigarette and shaking his head.)

Four days, before I got revived. By some sod who thought he was helping not from one of my group. Well at this point I was asked to move to another suburb. I moved to the new suburb and started to restock. After about two or three days the leader of the Streltsy, Moctezuma, asked me to move south.

He had this crazy stupid plan for me to kill him, and record the killing on a camera, to give to some girl who I think he had a thing for or something. Well it was a good way for me to vent my anger so I did it. The next day though he got revived and help me kill two random guys.

After that he told me about his plan to attack this mall. I try to talk him out of it because we still had a war to finish and I had heard of a group of hunters in the area. The hunters were some of the best and I wanted to get the war over with.

(Takes a drag from his cigarette.)

Well it wasn't the first time he didn't listen to a reasonable request. He even insulted my pride by asking if I was afraid of the hunters. The first time I tried to tell him something he pushed forward with his orders which was to attack a lower ranks cop of the CAPD rather than it's leader. Now he wanted me to attack a very densely populated suburb full of hunters. I wasn't having any of it.

That was my last time with them, four day waits for revives, getting killed daily, then running from one fight right into another with little or no down time. These guys were on a run away train to suicide.
