I am learning to make wikipages through trial and error (mostly error, but I haven't been arraigned yet).

I'm really enjoying the game, and learning a lot by playing more than one character.
Felix is in Boot Camp (after joining The Fortress). I've already learned so much, that I feel like I should be paying them real folding money for the training. They are extremely well organized, and very disciplined. They have strict rules about how things need to be done, and they take the time to explain why, too. If you are a 'wild and crazy player' who doesn't like rules and teamwork, these people are not for you. Fortunately, I'm a veteran, so I have no problem following orders or accepting responsibility for my actions. Surprisingly, they have a huge amount of roleplayers in the group, and an active group of writers (ranging from amateurs to professionals). It's like joining the cast of a war movie set in Malton. I'm enjoying it immensely.
Norton has joined 10 Minutes From Hell, the local defense force in Molebank. This group is the polar opposite of The Fortress, as far as style. If the Fortress is a tense, military drama, then 10MFH is like being in MASH, the old TV show. It's got a very medical flavor, kind of quirky and comic, sprinkled with violence but never taking the war too seriously. The advice I've gotten ranges from excellent to bizarre, but everyone is interested in helping new players - and not just ones from the group. They have a haphazard way of doing things, but it works well. I'm enjoying the feeling of being part of a 'neighborhood', rather than wandering around.
Mutt continues to rove around as an independent survivor, healing people and chasing zombies away with an axe. He's in Spicer Hills these days, where the zombie threat is much higher than Ruddlebank, and its always a challenge playing him solo.
Cujo the Police Dog, my zombie, is developing nicely. Once I made the decision to stick with roleplaying him (rather than trying to power level) it actually seemed to get easier to level up. I get a kick out of the way some players react to a zombie dog. Today someone shot me in the head, then said "Bad dog. Stay." He is my most mobile character, simply because he is completely without fear of death. He is in Millen Hills today, recovering AP so he can jump up and bite the guy who shot him in the head. I really do think the zombies have it easier in this game than the survivors, and I love my dog.

Since I started playing, I've been looking for a decent survivor organization in the game, and today I found two!
The first is The Fortress, a large military-themed group. My scout has joined them and is making his way to the rendezvous location, though it will take several days to link up. Their organization is impressive, and I've already learned a couple of useful things I would probably never learn on my own.
The second is 10 Minutes From Hell, a smaller community-themed group in the general area of Molebank. They do a lot of healing and revives, and they've been very helpful to a couple of my characters who've passed through the area. Their attitude is much more casual than the Fortress, but they seem experienced and very 'new player friendly', which is impressive in its own right, in Urban Dead. I've applied to join them, with my scientist.
Current Wiki projects for me:
- figure out how to upload images to the wiki, so I can have a picture for each of my characters (I've had it explained, but haven't attempted it yet)
- figure out how to actually create my own templates
- find out if there is a way to link a sound bite on a wiki page. It would be neat to play the first few bars of an appropriate theme song when someone visits my journal, etc
