Style Guide
Hi Knight03. I noticed that you recently made some edits to the Norvell Library page. I switched things around a bit so that it conforms to the Location Style Guide. If you could, please look the style guide over so you can see why I made the changes.
Also, I noticed that you had some leading spaces in the description that you wrote. Leading spaces on the wiki cause text to be formatted differently than you would probably expect. If you copy and paste text into the wiki from the game, just be sure there aren't any spaces in front of anything and you should be good.
Welcome to the wiki. If you have any problems with anything, be sure to let me know. ~ 21:19, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
Thank you for letting me know. I'm sorry i did not properly edit it. I'm glad you fixed it. i've read the location style guide and it won't happen again. Thank you. --Knight03 21:22, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
- No problem. I wasn't trying to berate or anything. The wiki is big and there is a lot to learn. But you have help so no worries. ~

good to know. can you explain how i can put an advertisement to get more players in my group? thank you --Knight03 21:50, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
- Yes I can explain that (and I'm sorry I'm just getting back to you). There is an area of the wiki called Category:Recruitment. In this category, groups can include recruitment ads that they have created as a subpage to their group page. See Fight Factory/Recruitment for an example of a recruitment ad but you don't need to get that fancy if you don't want to. An image is usually an eye catching way of getting attention to your group so I would include at least one. You'll need to adhere to certain guidelines when creating your ad so be sure to read them as well as a few other tips for creating a good ad.
- So once you've got an idea for an ad, you'll need to create a new page for it. It can be something like The Wandering Survivors/Recruitment or The Wandering Survivors/Recruit. Its best to use a subpage title which clearly defines that it is a recruitment ad page. If you decide to use one of the suggestions I just gave, click on the red link and start editing. Be sure to preview your ad often when editing to make sure you're not breaking the guidelines.
- The final step once you've created you ad is to post it to Category:Recruitment. For instructions, read the guidelines for posting a recruitment ad. These are pretty straight forward instructions but sometimes people can get stuck on it. If you make a mistake, don't worry it can be fixed. Or if you'd like you can just ask me when you're ready and I can guide you through it. Once it is posted, it will also need to be maintained with a timestamp every couple of months while you are actively recruiting. Good luck. ~
