Welcome

Welcome to the wiki. If you ever get stuck, give me a toot. - For one thing, please don't add Image:ImportantStuff2.gif‎ to any mainspace pages. We gain nothing from it (users decide themselves what is important to them and what not), and the blinking image is pretty annoying IMHO. -- Spiderzed 11:29, 17 April 2011 (BST)

Hello. I don't understand what mainspace is? There seems to be lots of pages. Will be tooting you. Belabor 12:00, 17 April 2011 (BST)
Mainspace is essentially every page without another word and colon in front of it. Clothes/Suggestions is for instance mainspace. User:Belabor has "User:" in front of it and is thus userspace. -- Spiderzed 12:05, 17 April 2011 (BST)
OH that is pretty simple, thank you; colons are separators. But slash isn't? Belabor 12:17, 17 April 2011 (BST)
Slash is for subpages within a single page, i.e. User:Belabor/Character would be a character, under your name, within the user namespace.--Yonnua Koponen T G P ^^^ 13:07, 17 April 2011 (BST)
I should have been more specific. Stay clear of adding that ImportantStuff2.gif image unless it is a page you have full ownership about (i.e. userspace pages or group pages, as per UDWiki:Specific Case Editing Guidelines). On "communal ownership" pages (all but the above cases), it serves little purpose, and will very likely be insta-reverted since it is massively annoying. -- Spiderzed 13:36, 17 April 2011 (BST)
I think I get what you mean now haha. But, you say "full ownership" and "communal ownership" on the wiki, but anyone can edit? Why not just to the logged-in owners? On the main page, anyone would need to be able to access it to change information, but on a user page?? Belabor 19:33, 17 April 2011 (BST)
