Description

Students at Chancelwood's "second" school never received any of the benefits lavished upon those attending the nearby Kempe Way School. When the Henshaw Monument was erected at the gates of Kempe Way School it was decreed that in the spirit of equality in education, Bealey Boulevard School would see the neighbouring wasteland developed into sports facilities for the school.When Kempe Way was gifted with a short range broadcast mast for it's student radio station, Bealey Boulevard was promised a park with sports facilities to be developed on the neighbouring wasteland. In 2003, coinciding with the opening of the Rodges Stadium, sports facilities were built in Hathway Park, for the exclusive use of Kempe Way School students. At the end of 2003, in an effort to satiate the furious parents of the Bealey Boulevard students, two motels were built at the bottom of the playground.
