Ok, lets face it, the spine tingling fear that you get when you slowly realise that the 'corpse' that you've just seen in the corner has just opened it's eyes is a staple of zombie films. So, how can this work? Firstly, people are gonna coplain that this can be used to spy on people. Eisily solved one that. just have it so that when the zombie is playing dead they don't receive any info on survivor numbers. The screen says You are #####. Currently you are playing dead. If there is any presence, zombie or otherwise you then get a message you smell blood on the air

Second point. It's eisy to hide the advancement of a zombie army this way. Hmmm. lots of zombies playing dead is gonna cause a problem, so how about this. As soon as a human walks into an area with a zombie playing dead, they don't even need to search to receive a 5% chance that they will discover a zombie playing dead. I don't know, maybe the zombie farts, or giggles or something. With 2 Zombies in an area playing dead then there is a 10% chance. with 3 there is a 15% chance, and so on. Humans discovering the zombies get a message like. There are 3 corpses here. Your spine tingles. something is not quite right with one of them.

I must admit, your tie in with the possiblity of discovering zombies with certain skills works, however switch it round so maxed-out scientists receive the 100% chance.

So, you also need to change it so it is different enougth from the play dead suggestion. I personaly think it is, but some people won't.

Possibly you should add the fact that once discovered to one person, everyone knows about the zombie. Essentialy this would be because someone has just jumped back shouting out S***! It's alive!!!!

  • Thanks for this helpful advice. I'm going to spend a while rethinking this idea. Mordac the Refuser 23:59, 10 May 2007 (BST)
