Basic Info:

  • A monument is a city block containing a statue or similar piece of public art, without a building in it. It is functionally equivalent to a street, except that players with the Tagging skill can gain 2 XP for writing graffiti on a monument.
  • This is, game-play wise, an empty block, and cannot be barricaded.
  • After the July 3, 2009 update, some monuments became tall and can be seen from a distance with binoculars

Description

Humans and zombies alike will see the following (permanent) description when standing in front of the monument:

"You are at the Bizzell Monument, an abstract concrete sculpture at the top of a low flight of steps."

The Bizzell Monument is one of three monuments in the suburb of Miltown. It is located in the far North Western corner of Miltown, it borders Fryerbank, Pennvile and Whittenside

The Bizzell Monument is dedicated to the famed author Alexander Morris Bizzell, who co-wrote the acclaimed epic, "Beyond the Immortal Coil" with his long time friend and drinking buddy, Thomas A. Thicke (who monument stands next door in Fryerbank). Both statues were sculpted by the same artist, Edward Alexander Crowley.

The Gover Library contains a section dedicated to the works of this two massive talents, including their other joint novels, "Pawn of Redemption" and "The Furlipped Frog", as well as the Decology of their Collected Short Stories - "Bear and Cat Again".

The Statues are of the two friends toasting each other with large frothy, beer filled tankards.

Notes

  • Gumption of The Coalition first discovered the basic laws of time travel here. The truth of his theories scared him so much that he decided to never share the secret with anyone. He can be seen here sometimes gazing into Fryerbank shouting "Damn you alls to Hell!" or "Mrh Abz Gurzm!" depending on his current state.
