Gabba Gabba/Guidelines

From The Urban Dead Wiki
Jump to navigationJump to search

Gabba Gabba is a community message board and URL sharing service. While this is not typically the intent of wiki articles, the wiki is common ground for many players in the community and therefore seems a logical choice. Because this is a community space, a few guidelines should be followed when posting messages; both to the benefit of users and to the page itself.

Message Posting Guidelines

  • The {{Gabba Gabba}} template should be used when posting new messages to the board. Do not attempt to create your own version of the template when posting messages. The wiki code for the template with all its parameters is posted on the main page so that it can be copied and pasted. The wiki code already contains a Unique ID and User Timestamp so it's not necessary to add your own.
  • You may change the Unique ID to something of your own choosing if you'd like, however please keep in mind that the ID should be unique; please search the message board for any previously used ID before deciding to use it.
  • Please do not post images in your message. If you want to refer to an image found on the wiki, please use its URL instead.
  • Your message may be removed and a vandal case may be brought against you if any of the following criteria are met:
  1. Sexually explicit or morbidly graphic messages
  2. Slander against any race, gender or sexual orientation
  3. URLs that lead to malicious software downloads, sexually explicit or morbidly graphic material.
  4. Spam URLs or URLs which promote a website not affiliated with Urban Dead
  5. Invisible URLs (wikispamming) used to increase page rankings
  6. Nonsensical messages, especially ones that are extremely long.
  • In addition, a vandal cases may be brought against you if
  1. You delete another user's message
  2. You impersonate another user in your message

Archived Messages

Whenever necessary to maintain proper page functionality, older messages on the message board will be archived. Archived messages can be found in the Gabba Gabba Archive. If you want your message to appear on the board again after its been archived, it will need to be re-added with a new ID and new timestamp.
