I've been in this city without my unit for a few weeks. I seem to have gotten a slight hang of basic skills for survival. I haven't ever seen a zombie in my safehouse, but every day I try and help those who just escaped shambling death. In the past two or three weeks, I've been pointing those I can in the direction of Dunell Hills. The survivor grapevine is buzzing with rumors about this small suburb in West Malton.

The scuttlebutt is that law and order have recently been reestablished in the area under the leadership of the Dunell Hills Police Department. My sources report that the reconstituted DHPD is a highly organized citizens' militia operating out of Cotty Street Police Department near the western edge of the city. The group is said to welcome all under their umbrella, protecting against zombies and murderers alike. Even though the group has no connection with the MPD, it is no surprise that the area is seen as a veritable promised land for many of the survivors in the area. I can't tell yet if the formation of the group has any relation to the fact that the quarantine was initially declared at a school board meeting in Dunell Hills or not. Either way, it makes for a good story.

Recently, radio broadcasts have started to emmanate from an undisclosed DHPD safehouse, directing incoming survivors to safety. Though I cannot alway recieve it from across the city, it provides a beacon of hope for those who afraid in these dark times. Even the disappearance of the mysterious "Sharko," the group's leader, has not stopped the growth of the group.
