TAKE OBJECT
You grasp it. You pull it. The object, wooden, a figurine of sorts, resists briefly as if suctioned to the water. Or is it that your hand is drawn in, following another's call? Why?
The figurine is in hand. It is a thin human shape, rough as if most of its mass had been worn away. Its surface is reflective, blue in the dim light. The legs feel multi-jointed, the arms, rounded like a crescent moon; the head, drooped, the mouth as if breathing out a warm air smelling sharply of wet wood. Its crisp ribs rise and fall...
It is just a figurine, an idol, an effigy at worst. You keep it with you.
