Mihama Chiyo, called Chiyo-chan by her friends, is a Japanese exchange student and supergenius, who managed to enroll in high school at the age of 12. She has lived a charmed life, being born to a wealthy family and going to a high school full of encouraging and sincere friends (and one crazy English teacher). It all ended when she came to Malton a day before the outbreak.

Now, she survives on the streets of Malton by her wits and a fireaxe. Sometimes, you can still hear her sing the "Tsukurimashou" song.
