This is a little space for a tactic I thought up for zombies. Since I don't really play as a zombie, it isn't a very good idea to publicise this, but it may highlight the danger of apparently abandoned malls. Ok, so picture the scene. Your local mall had been the bastion of good mallkeeping. Amazing, you say - look at how safe it is! Then, it falls to zeds. These zeds are quite unusual - they were all registered quite recently! Anywho, they worked hard to get all the zombie skills, and now they have your mall, they sit in it. Other zombies, hearing the rally point of the suburb has fallen, flock in and feast on the people inside various safehouses. So, your suburb becomes deserted. Five days since the mall raid, most of the zombies vanish. Of course, there's nobody to see this - the zombies merely idled out, with their players simply switching to their main account. This isn't zerging - they aren't helping each other out. So, survivors retake the suburb. Some time since then, you've repaired the mall. There are LOADS of survivors in there, all shopping and whatnot. You've got power, radios and EHB all round. There's no way zombies could get in this time, right? Well, supposing this was a clever ploy. These zombies are meta gaming, and with clever use of spies, they determine the best time to log in en masse. In a matter of seconds, over 200 zombies could just woosh into your mall, kill everyone and then ransack the place. If zombies had A LOT of time, they could have other zombies in safehouses across the suburb that follow suit. Naturally, it would take a lot of co-ordination and time to get this to happen, but it's possible. Hell, even one zombie doing this could inflict a lot of damage, if they were high level enough. This is all just theory, but it's just a matter of time before the zombies think something like this up. So even if a mall or safehouse seems abandoned, be prepared for disaster weeks or even months down the line. --DrBowman 19:47, 7 July 2007 (BST)
