A young doctor fresh out of med school that was looking into a position at St. Alfred's Hospital in Rhodenbank. The outbreak started while he was in an interview that was going well. Instead of evacuating like most of the other people in the hospital, he decided to stay and assist the injured who had been left unattended. His real name is actually Jake Wellings, but he has long since left that name behind.
A few weeks later he was assisted by some members of the Department of Emergency Management, and he joined them soon after. He learned their way of doing things thanks to a week or two in the academy under the supervision of Dr.Wolf. After graduating from the academy he was assigned to help the North-East part of Malton under the command of Fire Marshal Jayefex.
After the new years bash he was assigned to the defense of Pitneybank, under the command of Fire Marshal Blazing Saddle. After a long month of fighting they finally lost Giddings Mall to the horde of zombies...Now he's back!
After about 6 months of work he has gone from a lowly EMT in the MEMS to a Specialist, assigned to Pimbank. He continues to work with Jayefex's squad instead of remaining in his assigned suburb, because everyone knows they would be lost without him. :)
Nero has also been accredited with providing underground access tunnels between DEM branch safehouses. This allows for the easy transportation of booze and coffee between the MEMS, MFU, and MCDU hangouts. Though one could potentially access the MPD waterhole via this system, In the words of Nero himself: "coughyoumightgetshotcough". He recently demolished the tunnels, but has plans to rebuild them later.
