Not sure this is in the right space but does ANYONE who uses anonymizers/proxies get banned? if so is there a way to change that rule? It is very hard to surf at school or work and not have your trail traced. That is the whole reason these things were invented. Terrible Man 20:50, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

Nope Standard policy. But you don't get banned, just the ip addy for any proxy. Non-static IP caught in vandalism are also banned occasionally. Conndrakamod TDHPD CFT 22:18, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
Then why did Tether get banned for using a proxy? Terrible Man 20:43, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
I went through the logs and couldn't find a "Tether" ever being banned or blocked. The IP may have been blocked though...Conndrakamod TDHPD CFT 20:53, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
He's listed under section 3.94 on the UDWiki:Moderation/Vandal Banning page. His screenname was banned. Terrible Man 15:55, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
Here. I banned him. Legend X has a history of alt abusing in-game and inside the wiki too. When someone mysteriously appeared on the wiki using a proxy i thought that permabanning him would be the best choice.--Thari TжFedCom is BFI! 16:18, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
So anyone using a proxy and editing the BME board will be banned? For what it is worth, Legend/John did not use alts. He had another member of the BME sign in as him and make an edit from their home computer. That person was Octi 1/Josh. Two different people.

Two different computers. A moderator named Bob refused to stick up for them and they got banned. Neither plays the game anymore, but what they did can be viewed as illegal even though that obviously wasn't the intent. I just want to make sure going forward that all proxy users won't be banned. Tharinator, BME has many members. I just want to make sure you don't ban them all because of one guy and what he has incorrectly perceived to have done Terrible Man 20:55, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
I guess it is no longer a problem Terrible Man 19:46, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
