Description

Roughly 75 years ago, a 1/7 scale replica of the Taj Mahal was set to be built at this location. Back in those days, Malton was a very small town, and the replica Taj Mahal was to be its town center for both government and social activities. The project was the brainchild of Vice-Mayor Justin Q. Smith. Unfortunately, 8 days after ground was broken on the project, the construction crew all died of rabies. No one knows how they all became infected, but there are theories. Some say that Foreman Willis was a werewolf. Having been bitten by a local rabid dog, Foreman Willis went crazy and infected the entire crew. Another theory is that Vice-Mayor Smith was having an affair with Mayor Pitkinney's wife. The mayor learned of the affair, and vowed that the project would never be completed. Rumor has it that Pitkinney gathered up 50 stray dogs in the city, and kept them for 5 days, forcing the dogs to bite one another and hopefully spread rabies amongst the group. On the 6th day, he arrived at the work site with the pack of animals, and they bit every last one of the workers. No one saw of Pitkinney thereafter.
