Basic Info:

  • All junkyards were sealed and locked at the start of the quarantine, and required wirecutters to enter, unless someone else had already cut the fence. It is widely recognised that all junkyards in Malton have already been cut open.

Description

Scrap being processed in the junkyard.

The junkyard is very bland, to say the least. Lots and lots of concrete. The burnt out wrecks of various machines are spread through the area.

History

Constructed by Barbed Incorporated, owners of the nearby Barber Building, in 1979.

The junkyard was used to process old cars and such into scrap metal, which was then used in the company's factory to manufacture barbed wire, along with other similar products.

After the Malton Incident in 2005, the junkyard was understandably closed down. Since then it has seen only sparse use, due to its remote location.

Barricade Policy

In accordance with the Owsleybank Barricade Plan, the building is to be Very Strongly Barricaded.
