Survivor Tactics
The information on this page or section discusses a survivor strategy.

Lockdown is when a Suburb, Police Department or building group barricades to Extremely Heavily Barricaded in an effort to create a secure complex of adjoining buildings.

Lockdown is a common tactic for protecting survivors and survivor groups from zombie incursions, keeping operations running and resource buildings searchable. When an area is placed in this state only Churches, and designated entry points are accessible to survivors lacking the Free Running skill.

  • Groups that employ a tactically sound Lockdown Plan tend to have a higher success rate in defending against zombies.
  • Large 'stationary' zombie groups (the RRF as an example) may employ their own form of Lockdown by manipulating barricades and ransacking/ruining buildings within their occupied areas to their advantage. Malton's history is dotted with numerous instances of this, including siege-like tactics to break the resolve of Lockdown-ed complexes or large buildings.
