Introduction
The Malton Local Education Authority is the LEA for the city of Malton. The MLEA oversees and administers all of Malton's state run schools, whilst the private schools have only regular seasonal inspections to ensure maximum quality in Malton's education.
Now, in this period of anarchy and unrest, the MLEA exists to keep Malton's schools and education facilities in pristine condition.
History

The MLEA can trace its beginnings back to the early 1850s, where each month, one of Malton's Gentry had to donate a set amount of money to the council for the running of the Malton schools. The schools themselves were mismatched affairs, in a library one week, and in a pub the next. The Elevenstools School holds the record with classes held in over 500 different locations.
