Basic Info:

  • Multi-story housing blocks. Windows can be jumped from to turn a character into a zombie.
  • Towers have no internal descriptions. Some towers, like Lerwill Towers in Greentown, have mobile phone masts mounted on them.

Sabine Towers [47,75] is a residential block located in the East of Tapton. The building serves as the headquarters and safe house of the Ständige Vertretung.

History

Sabine Towers was an upscale high-rise condominium building with many neo-classical touches. The marble tile and Doric columns in the now abandoned lobby give it the feel of a ruined temple.

Strategic Location

The building's location is very convenient for a survivor group that maintains a revivification point. It overlooks Dix Place (1 west), allowing the use of binoculars to observe the revive queue. The nearest NT building is The Dobbs Building, situated 3 blocks to the East. Pole Mall is accessible without stepping outside, requiring 7 action points, via Beville Auto Repair and Clapton Stadium.

Art Collection

Sabine Towers features a modest collection of works of art and decorative items, contributed by the residents:

  • A conceptual painting
  • A stuffed alligator
  • A historical tapestry
  • An abstract painting
  • An antique mirror
  • An impressionist sculpture
  • An African painting

  • Radio Recording Found In The Snow* "The Sabine Towers were empty when i, Aj Solek went to investigate, they were completly abandoned, not a soul left. There were dry blood stains, bones and some broken baracades within it's vacinity. I heard from a distance a Zombies Feeding cry, so i ran, i fell over from exaustion. I woke up to feel agonizing pain. I lifted my arm to see a bitemark, i got up and saw a zombie, standing, slouching, but it was asleep, resting from exaustion. I took my chances and tried to radio the Whittaker Boulevard Fire Deparment but recieved static, so i ran. the clawmarks and bites on me began to hurt, i fell over again and fainted. I got up to feel more bites and scratches, i saw the same zombie, it was stalking me, i ran again, and fell, and here i am, on the ground, but at distance i see a zombie coming for me, i can't move now, my legs are numb. This is Aj Solek. I am giving in to all i run from, but i wi-..." * static completly showers the recording after the last words of the survivor. the vacinity of where the recorder was found had shown blood, everywhere. The body of Aj Solek, has been seen amongst the Dead, but has not been conclusivly identified since. -- 02:44, 26 December 2007 (BST)

September 13, 2007 After a valiant defensive effort by the survivors, Sabine towers fell yet again to the bloodthirsty undead masses on September 12th. It was defended by a coalition of the Renegades and Ständige Vertretung, while the attacking horde appeared to consist mainly of feral zombies. Most of the buildings around Sabine, including valuable hospitals and PDs, as well as nearby Pole Mall, had been ruined for several days, leaving the defenders with precious little resources. The area is still flooded with the walking dead, so it may be some time before the living are able to reclaim the building. - Cerulean 02:44, 14 September 2007 (BST)

August 31, 2007 The building has been rebarricaded. It back up and running with a generator. Number of occupaints is unknown to me as I don't have free running. The zombie's near it could prove a threat. They've already taken down others in the area. Chibichocobo 11:45, August 31 2007 (PST)

August 16, 2007 The building has been breached by 14 zombies, and the 8 occupants are certainly tasty looking. Most likely ruined by the time you read this. Garret Baker, Alt of --Galstratein 03:22, 16 August 2007 (BST)
