===Description===
An exclusive gated park in the vicinity of [[Stanbury Place]]. The plane trees offer pleasant shade in the summer. Children can often be heard screaming and shouting, as they play games of 'hide (from the zombie) and seek' and 'pin the tail on the zombie'.

Sheil Park was literally a 'rich kids' playground' for two centuries, providing a secluded green space in the heart of the Village. With its own private force of park wardens, it was jealously guarded by local residents from outsiders.
However, from the 1980s onwards, the ''paparazzi'' became increasingly adept at hiding among the shrubbery and ambushing celebrities as they strolled along its pathways, or snapping a money-spinning headshot from long distance for their magazines' front covers.
Post-outbreak, the wardens were consigned to history and the park is now open to all: rich and poor, alive and dead mingle freely together, if not always happily.

Description

An exclusive gated park in the vicinity of Stanbury Place. The plane trees offer pleasant shade in the summer. Children can often be heard screaming and shouting, as they play games of 'hide (from the zombie) and seek' and 'pin the tail on the zombie'.

History

Sheil Park was literally a 'rich kids' playground' for two centuries, providing a secluded green space in the heart of the Village. With its own private force of park wardens, it was jealously guarded by local residents from outsiders.

However, from the 1980s onwards, the paparazzi became increasingly adept at hiding among the shrubbery and ambushing celebrities as they strolled along its pathways, or snapping a money-spinning headshot from long distance for their magazines' front covers.

Post-outbreak, the wardens were consigned to history and the park is now open to all: rich and poor, alive and dead mingle freely together, if not always happily.
