Please note the lack of numerous , the fact that the link completely covers the image, and the fact that it seems to work fine. I've colored the link red so that it's obvious it's covering the image. The code is simple enough that I don't think there should be any serious issues in other browsers (except older versions of IE, which don't handle the coloration I used here for the link, but I only did that for the sake of example and wouldn't actually have that in actual use). If you have any issues with it or questions, discuss them here.
And here's a template version of it in action (no red coloration this time, but the link is definitely there):
