Please note the lack of numerous <code>&amp;nbsp;</code>, the fact that the link completely covers the image, and the fact that it seems to work fine. I've colored the link red so that it's obvious it's covering the image. The code is simple enough that I don't think there should be any serious issues in other browsers (except older versions of IE, which don't handle the coloration I used here for the link, but I only did that for the sake of example and wouldn't actually have that in actual use). If you have any issues with it or questions, discuss them [[Wiki_Questions#Images_as_direct_links|here]].

These four are tests to see whether or not it's appropriately fool-proofed. I've put them in borders so we can see how big they are and have given it a light blue background to make sure we aren't interfering with png transparency by accident.
