=== News ===
After a while of proudly serving the DHPD, Whatshisname once was a commander of Fireteam Charlie, and a little while later, became the chief of the Cotty Street Precinct. Later, he rose to become the "Head Persecutor." After a  disasterous break-in during a siege of the Cotty Street Precinct, many DHPD officers were killed and the building fell to the zombie hordes. Whatshisname took full responsibility for the disaster, and, disregarding the support and suggestions of his teammates, disappeared, riddled with guilt over the disaster. He reappeared several months later, and, upon finding Dunell Hills and it's precincts in ruin, began searching for survivors. He searched all over Malton, and, a few months later, came back to Dunell Hills, and found it still in ruins, but with more DHPD officers everywhere.He now has resumed defending his beloved Hills, and has made a personal promise to himself to rebuild his beloved Cotty Street Police Department, as it was the building that brought him into the DHPD.

=== Armed Services History ===
'''HISTORY'''
He was "recruited" into Armed Forces at age 15 as part of a secret military op to train soldiers from a very young age. In only one year, he became a Delta Force sniper, shipping out to Iraq at only age 16. It was in the hell that was the aftermath of the Iraq War where he got his nickname, 'Whatshisname'. He would be out certain nights, sniping designated targets without surrounding Iraqi soldiers knowing until he was out of the area. After a few days, the Iraqis began calling their unseen menace "Nameless One" in Arabic, which he translated into English (knowing 12 languages himself). At first, that was his nickname. However, he, his friends, and team members joked about that and called him "Whatshisname", so he took that as his newest nickname.
Close to the final days of his post in Iraq, he witnessed fellow soldiers kill a civilian family. In a rage, he attacked the officer who gave the order and beat him senseless. Later in court, he was given a deal by his superiors that if he were to "forget" the situation with the civilians, he would be let free of charges for beating an officer. He refused, asking not to be let off of his punishment, but for the officer and soldiers who killed the family to also face consequences. However, after watching the soldiers who killed the civilian family get off scot-free in court, he lost faith in his country's military system and left for Britain. After a few months, he renounced his American citizenship. Still wanting to be in the military, he filed some paperwork and managed to be "temporarily" accepted into the SAS. His skill and determination made him friends, and his American citizenship was overlooked given his military history. After a few more months later, with the help of his friends in the SAS, he became a British citizen.
When word came through the military of an outbreak in Malton, he was contacted by a few of his friends in the military, who asked him to help with the situation. He gladly obliged, and after suiting up, his team was dropped off in a middle suburb of Malton. They had set up a base in a police station in the middle of Malton alongside several civilians and police officers, and stayed there for a few days. Soon, disaster befell his team: the zombie horde that was constantly beating on the barricaded doors and windows of the building eventually became so large, and, out of sheer luck for them, simply broke through the barricades. In the ensuing chaos, his team members were ripped apart in front of him along with the rest of the civilians in the building. He had backed into a window and was shooting the zombie, when one of the undead burst through the window and pulled him out of the building. The zombie delivered quite a few solid bites and infected John before he managed to jab his knife into it's skull. Whatshisname straightened up, bleeding everywhere and took one last look through the window. He couldn't even see his dead friends anymore. He stood, saluted them for the last time, then limped off.
He wandered Malton for a full two days, sleeping in 15 minute intervals every hour. He eventually came into a suburb known as "Dunell Hills". It was surprisingly free of zombies. He only spotted a few here and there. And, after killing an already damaged zombie with the last of his 3 bullets, he wandered up to a large, two-story police station. It was barricaded and he could hear voices inside. He entered the building next to the police station, a factory, and after searching around, found a small plank leading between the two buildings on the top floor. With all of his remaining strength and concentration, he was barely able to make it into the station. After stumbling his way (and falling down the last few stairs to the bottom floor, he came face to face with a large group of survivors. There were all wearing relatively well-kept uniforms and badges and were eating donuts and drinking coffee. "A luxury," he thought before passing out on the ground. After recovering for two weeks, he asked some questions and was welcomed into the Dunell Hills Police Department.
Before Malton, he had a small house in Reading, although he was stationed all around Britain. He plans to sell his house in Reading and move to London when, and if, he ever gets home.

Coming from a well-trained, military background, Ant is a former U.S. Air Force Combat Controller, where he earned the nickname “Whatshisname”. Though much of what any soldier who was dropped into Malton was soon forgotten in the face of the new reality they found themselves in, Ant  manage to find significant use out of the skills he picked up as a Combat Controller. His S.E.R.E. training in particular proved useful.

Whatshisname is a proud member of the Dunnell Hills Police Department, a group in the suburb of Dunnell Hills, a suburb Northwest of Shore Hills, where he was airdropped in. He participated in the defense of Caiger Mall along with many other DHPD members during its two seiges by the zombie hordes.
After his mission was botched, he wound up wandering into Dunell Hills, finding a group of survivors just beginning to organized. Needing all sorts of skills, the group, which called themselves the Dunell Hills Police Department asked his assistance. With nowhere else to go, he joined. From accidentally stumbling upon this group, Ant stayed with them as they slowly gained steam. Eventually, the became one of the most powerful groups in the city, with Dunell Hills and its bordering suburbs (dubbed the “DMZ”) becoming one of the safest places in the city.
Though the Dunell Hills Police Department thrived for several years, it was not to last. When the massive zombie horde dubbed “The Shining Ones” attempted to take Caiger Mall, the last remaining shopping mall still heavily manned by survivors, they were repulsed by many survivor groups, including Caiger Mall’s own defenders and the DHPD. After the failed invasion, the zombies poured into the DMZ. This began a massive war between the horde and the department, one that the horde would eventually win. Ant, the second in command of the famed DHPD’s Delta Squad, and the commander of the head police station in the DMZ, managed to keep his building standing far longer than expected and get many survivors out to safety before it fell. Broken, disheartened, and riddled with guilt, the young man wandered off deep into the city of Malton. He returned some time later, soon after the Shining Ones had left the sector. He was in time to help the DHPD reform and secure their borders again, but the DHPD never regained its former strength. It’s most prominent members began to disappear, and soon the entire suburb was a ruin. Ant had set off a second time, searching across Malton for any stragglers to bring back to the DMZ. When he returned, he found Dunell Hills completely ruined. The Shining Ones had long since left, but the DHPD had neglected its home. Upon seeing his beloved Cotty Street Police Department in ruins and rejoining with the group, something inside him changed. The DHPD cared nothing about their own history. Ant had been around since almost the founding of the DHPD. He had fought side by side with its’ main founder, a man by the name of Sharko, and much later, against him during the department’s infamous civil war. He and his closest friend, who has long since disappeared, formed Delta Squad, a branch of the DHPD that would go down in Malton’s history as a force to be reckoned with. Delta Squad was responsible for the kills of some of the highest profile “villains” in Malton, including the leaders of “Extinction” and “The Dead”.
Despite this storied history, no one in the department seemed to care for the days where the department was strong. It had withered, as had its ideology.
Ant was lost, and had undertaken a half-hearted scavenging mission when he ran into an old acquaintance of his. She was wearing a clean, white mask and said not a word. She simply handed him a reference before running off. Ant found his way to the doorstep of one of Malton’s oldest, well-known groups…
