Woof Plaza School

Description

A large metal-and-glass building with stern gargoyles along its guttering. The interior shows signs of decay; cracks are appearing in the walls, and water stains the ceilings. Mushrooms grow from rotting textbooks and papers.

History

Little Tootie in better times.

Woof Plaza School was a high school serving Grigg Heights and north Crooketon. The football team, the Woof Plaza Warriors, were moderately successful in regional competitions. Although the origin of the name Woof Plaza is unknown, the team kept a Yorkshire Terrior dog named Little Tootie as a mascot.

On the first day of the outbreak a small horde of zombies attacked the school. Chaos ensued as students and staff tried to escape the beseiged school. Members of the football team carrying Little Tootie to safety were cornered in the gym hall by the horde. Little Tootie escaped from the grasp of the quarterback carrying him, and ran towards the horde, yelping and barking. The zombie mind unable to comprehend the small furry mammal snapping at their rotten ankles became distracted, allowing the escape of the students.

Although a number of students returned to search for Little Tootie in the days following the attack, he was never found. The fate of Little Tootie is unknown. In recent years, on quiet nights, some survivors have heard the whimpering of a dog in the corridors of Woof Plaza School, but upon searching have not found a dog, or any sign of an animal being present. This has lead some to believe that the ghost of Little Tootie now roams Woof Plaza School.
