Ranks High Command 1. General- Generals are the leadership of the group, commanding the group and relaying current operations between Companies and allies. Generals are also admins on the group forum. They can create Operations, assume command, and promote others. They currently consist of Ioncannon11 and Colonel Burton 10 but promotions are always available. 2. Captain- Captains are the leaders of the three major teams. Together with their deputies and the Generals, they form the High Command, which is the ultimate decision-making body of the 173rd Airborne. The High Command propose and draft plans, and coordinate actions with allies. A Captain is given a great deal of leeway as to how to conduct an Operation. 3. Lieutenant- This is the first rank to serve in the High Command Council chambers, as underlings to Captains. They are allowed to vote only on minor propositions, and will be assigned a Captain to serve under. They are given command over two FireTeams within the group that they are already in, and must follow their superiors' orders as to where to order their troops. Within an operation, they are given a certain area that is theirs to do as they please in as long as the Operation is accomplished. Level Two Clearance 4. Sergeant- Sergeants are not in the High Command, and thus must receive all of their orders from above. They are assigned one FireTeam to command into battle, and a block or two in which the objectives must be accomplished or their promotion will be revoked. However, they are highly respected within their units as they're the ones who Privates generally associate with authority figures. Sergeants are the leaders of their groups, and often make close bonds with their soldiers. 5. Corporal- Corporals are soldiers who have shown that they are reliable and can be called upon upon in case of a crisis. They can work together in case their Sergeant has gone AWOL or left the group until a replacement is chosen from among their ranks. 6. Private- The bulk of the group, Privates are footsoldiers. They rush into the most battle-torn areas with a mad desire to retake the land. Despite their low rank, Privates share a common sense of hope and aspiration. They often become the best of friends and not even undeath can separate them in many cases. This is the kind of friendly bonding the very existence of the 173rd depends upon. Promotion from the rank of Privates is usually very quick, in most cases after only a single Operation. The 173rd is very lenient with rankings, as we like to see for ourselves how good a player will be in leadership positions without unfairly judging them. Promotions are rarely taken away, and in these cases almost always because of treason. Skipping low ranks to higher ones is also very common.
